Discerning The Truth

Mark 12:29-31

29    And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30    And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment.

To Attend A Worship Service In Many U. S. Churches, You Would Think,  Wow, These People Really Do Love God With Their Whole Being.

In The Eyes Of God, The Rubber Meets The Road When We Take The Willingness Of The First Of All Commandments, And Turn It Into The Action Of Doing The Second Of All Commandments.

 31   And the second [is] like, [namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

God Determines The Sincerity Of Ones Desire To Obey The First Commandment, By The Action Of One Obeying The Second Commandment Which Is Dying To Self and Self Needs And Allowing Jesus To Reach Out To  Others Through Us.

(Mark 8:34 35 NKJV)

(34)When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, "Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

(35) "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it. (36) "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?

The Love Of God In Our Hearts Serves Others,  the lust of the flesh in our hearts serves Stuff (mammon).

 Mat 6:24 NKJV "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate  the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

Men that serve God Seek The Souls Of Other Men.

Man That Serve The Flesh Seek The Things Of This World.

(Mat 6:19 & 20 NKJV)

(19) Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;

(20) "but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,

 where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal."
