Is To Get You To Listen

To God's Word And

You Plan Your Eternity

God Never Repeats Himself By Accident

Mark 8:35 New Living Translation (NLT)

35 If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it.

But if you give up your life for my sake and

for the sake of the Good News, you will save it.

Matthew 16:24-28 New Living Translation (NLT)

24 Then Jesus said to his disciples,

“If any of you wants to be my follower,

you must give up your own way,

take up your cross, and follow me.

25 If you try to hang on to your life,

you will lose it.

But if you give up your life for my sake,

you will save it.

26 And what do you benefit if you

gain the whole world but lose your own soul?[l]

Is anything worth more than your soul?

27 For the Son of Man will come

with his angels in the glory of his

Father and will judge all people

according to their deeds.

28 And I tell you the truth,

some standing here right now will not die

before they see the Son of Man

 coming in his Kingdom.”

Luke 9:24 New Living Translation (NLT)

24 If you try to hang on to your life,

 you will lose it.

But if you give up your life for my sake,

you will save it.

John 12:25 New Living Translation (NLT)

25 Those who love their life

in this world will lose it.

Those who care nothing for their life

in this world

will keep it for eternity.

God Never Repeats Himself By Accident.

To Say Something Four Times Is A

Very, Very, Very, Very

Big Deal.

Compare Those Scriptures To These

1 John 2:15-17 New Living Translation (NLT)

Do Not Love This World

15 Do not love this world nor

the things it offers you,

for when you love the world,

you do not have the love of the Father in you.

16 For the world offers only

a craving for physical pleasure,

a craving for everything we see,

and pride in our achievements and possessions.

These are not from the Father,

but are from this world.

17 And this world is fading away,

along with everything that people crave.

But anyone who does what pleases God

will live forever.

A Laodicean pastor, teacher

CAN NOT

preach the above five scriptures

because he can not build all the

big buildings he builds and

live the life style he lives.

Luke 6:24-26 New Living Translation (NLT)

Sorrows Foretold

24 “What sorrow awaits you who are rich,

for you have your only happiness now.

25 What sorrow awaits you who are fat and prosperous now,

for a time of awful hunger awaits you.

What sorrow awaits you who laugh now,

for your laughing will turn to mourning and sorrow.

26 What sorrow awaits you who are praised by the crowds,

for their ancestors also praised false prophets.

The laughing He Is Referring To Is

The Joy Of Having As Apposed To

The Joy Of Giving.

This Following Scripture Explains

This Perfectly

James 4 New Living Translation (NLT)

Drawing Close to God

What is causing the quarrels and fights among you?

Don’t they come from the evil desires

 at war within you?

You want what you don’t have,

so you scheme and kill to get it.

You are jealous of what others have,

 but you can’t get it,

so you fight and wage war to take it away from them.

Yet you don’t have what you want because

you don’t ask God for it.

And even when you ask,

you don’t get it

because your motives are all wrong—

you want only what will give you pleasure.

You adulterers![a]

Don’t you realize that friendship

with the world makes you an enemy of God?

I say it again:

If you want to be a friend of the world,

you make yourself an enemy of God.

Do you think the Scriptures have no meaning?

They say that God is passionate

that the spirit he has placed

within us should be faithful to him.[b]

 And he gives grace generously.

As the Scriptures say,

“God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble.”[c]

So humble yourselves before God.

Resist the devil,

and he will flee from you.

Come close to God, and

God will come close to you.

Wash your hands, you sinners;

purify your hearts,

for your loyalty is divided

 between God and the world.

Let there be tears for what you have done.

Let there be sorrow and deep grief.

 Let there be sadness

instead of laughter,

and gloom instead of joy.

10 Humble yourselves before the Lord,

and he will lift you up in honor.

Matthew 6: 19 - 34 New Living Translation (NLT)

Teaching about Money and Possessions

19 “Don’t store up treasures here on earth,

where moths eat them and rust

destroys them,

and where thieves break in and steal.

20 Store your treasures in heaven,

where moths and rust cannot destroy,

and thieves do not break in and steal.

21 Wherever your treasure is,

there the desires of your heart will also be.

22 “Your eye is like a lamp that

provides light for your body.

When your eye is healthy,

your whole body is filled with light.

23 But when your eye is unhealthy,

your whole body is filled with darkness.

And if the light you think you have is

actually darkness,

how deep that darkness is!

24 “No one can serve two masters.

 For you will hate one and love the other;

you will be devoted to one and despise the other.

You cannot serve God and

be enslaved to money.

25 “That is why I tell you not to worry

about everyday life—

whether you have enough food and drink,

or enough clothes to wear.

Isn’t life more than food,

and your body more than clothing?

26 Look at the birds.

They don’t plant or harvest or

store food in barns, for your

heavenly Father feeds them.

And aren’t you far more valuable

to him than they are?

27 Can all your worries

add a single moment to your life?

28 “And why worry about your clothing?

Look at the lilies of the field

and how they grow.

They don’t work or make their clothing,

29 yet Solomon in all his glory

was not dressed as beautifully as they are.

30 And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers

 that are here today and

thrown into the fire tomorrow,

he will certainly care for you.

Why do you have so little faith?

31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying,

‘What will we eat? What will we drink?

 What will we wear?’

32 These things dominate the

thoughts of unbelievers,

but your heavenly Father

already knows all your needs.

33 Seek the Kingdom of God[e]

above all else,

and live righteously,

and he will give you everything you need.

34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow,

for tomorrow will bring its own worries.

Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Again I Tell You

God Never Repeats Himself

By Accident.

Luke 12:13-3 4 New Living Translation (NLT)

Parable of the Rich Fool

13 Then someone called from the crowd,

“Teacher, please tell my brother to divide

 our father’s estate with me.”

14 Jesus replied,

“Friend, who made me a judge

over you to decide such things as that?”

15 Then he said,

“Beware! Guard against

every kind of greed.

Life is not measured by how much you own.”

16 Then he told them a story:

“A rich man had a fertile farm

that produced fine crops.

17 He said to himself,

‘What should I do?

I don’t have room for all my crops.’

18 Then he said,

‘I know! I’ll tear down my barns

and build bigger ones.

Then I’ll have room enough to store

all my wheat and other goods.

19 And I’ll sit back and say to myself,

“My friend, you have enough stored

 away for years to come.

Now take it easy!

Eat, drink, and be merry!”’

20 “But God said to him,

‘You fool!

You will die this very night.

Then who will get everything you worked for?’

21 “Yes, a person is a fool

 to store up earthly wealth

but not have a rich relationship with God.”

Teaching about Money and Possessions

22 Then, turning to his disciples, Jesus said,

“That is why I tell you not to worry

about everyday life—

whether you have enough food to eat

or enough clothes to wear.

23 For life is more than food,

and your body more than clothing.

24 Look at the ravens.

They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns,

 for God feeds them.

And you are far more valuable

to him than any birds!

25 Can all your worries add a single

moment to your life?

26 And if worry can’t accomplish

a little thing like that,

what’s the use of worrying over bigger things?

27 “Look at the lilies and how they grow.

They don’t work or make their clothing,

yet Solomon in all his glory

was not dressed as beautifully as they are.

28 And if God cares so wonderfully

for flowers that are here today and

thrown into the fire tomorrow,

he will certainly care for you.

Why do you have so little faith?

29 “And don’t be concerned about

what to eat and

what to drink.

Don’t worry about such things.

30 These things dominate the thoughts

of unbelievers all over the world,

but your Father already knows your needs.

31 Seek the Kingdom of

God above all else,

and he will give you

 everything you need.

32 “So don’t be afraid,

little flock.

For it gives your Father

great happiness to give you the Kingdom.

33 “Sell your possessions and

give to those in need.

This will store up treasure

for you in heaven!

And the purses of heaven never

 get old or develop holes.

Your treasure will be safe;

no thief can steal it and

no moth can destroy it.

34 Wherever your treasure is,

there the desires of your

heart will also be.

Choose Wisely

Luke 16:19-31 New Living Translation (NLT)

Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus

19 Jesus said, “There was a certain rich man who was

splendidly clothed in purple and fine linen

and who lived each day in luxury.

20 At his gate lay a poor man named

Lazarus who was covered with sores.

21 As Lazarus lay there longing for scraps from

 the rich man’s table,

the dogs would come and lick his open sores.

22 “Finally, the poor man died and

was carried by the angels to sit beside Abraham

at the heavenly banquet.[a]

The rich man also died and was buried,

23 and he went to the place of the dead.[b]

There, in torment,

he saw Abraham in the far distance

 with Lazarus at his side.

24 “The rich man shouted,

‘Father Abraham, have some pity!

Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger

in water and cool my tongue.

I am in anguish in these flames.’

25 “But Abraham said to him,

‘Son, remember that during your life time

you had everything you wanted,

and Lazarus had nothing.

So now he is here being comforted,

and you are in anguish.

26 And besides,

there is a great chasm separating us.

No one can cross over to you from here,

and no one can cross over to us from there.’

27 “Then the rich man said,

‘Please, Father Abraham,

at least send him to my father’s home.

28 For I have five brothers,

and I want him to warn them so they don’t end up in this place of torment.’

29 “But Abraham said,

‘Moses and the prophets have warned them.

Your brothers can read what they wrote.’

30 “The rich man replied,

‘No, Father Abraham!

But if someone is sent to them from the dead,

then they will repent of their sins and turn to God.’

31 “But Abraham said,

‘If they won’t listen to Moses and the prophets,

they won’t be persuaded even if

someone rises from the dead.’”

Revelation 3: 14 - 22 New Living Translation (NLT)

The Message to the Church in Laodicea

14 “Write this letter to the angel

of the church in Laodicea.

This is the message from the

one who is the Amen—

the faithful and true witness,

the beginning[e] of God’s new creation:

15 “I know all the things you do,

that you are neither hot nor cold.

I wish that you were one or the other!

16 But since you are like lukewarm water,

 neither hot nor cold,

I will spit you out of my mouth!

17 You say, ‘I am rich.

I have everything I want.

I don’t need a thing!’

And you don’t realize that you are wretched and

miserable and poor and blind and naked.

18 So I advise you to buy gold from me—

gold that has been purified by fire.

Then you will be rich.

Also buy white garments from me

so you will not be shamed by your nakedness,

and ointment for your eyes

so you will be able to see.

19 I correct and discipline everyone I love.

So be diligent and turn from your indifference.

20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock.

If you hear my voice and open the door,

 I will come in,

and we will share a meal together as friends.

21 Those who are victorious

will sit with me on my throne,

just as I was victorious and

sat with my Father on his throne.

22 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen

to the Spirit and understand what he

 is saying to the churches.”
