New Living Translation (NLT)

Teachings about Forgiveness and Faith

17 One day Jesus said to his disciples, “There will always be temptations to sin, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting! It would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around your neck than to cause one of these little ones to fall into sin. So watch yourselves!

“If another believer[a] sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive. Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive.”

The apostles said to the Lord, “Show us how to increase our faith.”

The Lord answered, “If you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘May you be uprooted and thrown into the sea,’ and it would obey you!

“When a servant comes in from plowing or taking care of sheep, does his master say, ‘Come in and eat with me’? No, he says, ‘Prepare my meal, put on your apron, and serve me while I eat. Then you can eat later.’ And does the master thank the servant for doing what he was told to do? Of course not. 10 In the same way, when you obey me you should say, ‘We are unworthy servants who have simply done our duty.’”

Ten Healed of Leprosy

11 As Jesus continued on toward Jerusalem, he reached the border between Galilee and Samaria. 12 As he entered a village there, ten lepers stood at a distance, 13 crying out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

14 He looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.”[b] And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy.

15 One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, “Praise God!” 16 He fell to the ground at Jesus’ feet, thanking him for what he had done. This man was a Samaritan.

17 Jesus asked, “Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine? 18 Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19 And Jesus said to the man, “Stand up and go. Your faith has healed you.[c]

The Coming of the Kingdom

20 One day the Pharisees asked Jesus, “When will the Kingdom of God come?”

Jesus replied, “The Kingdom of God can’t be detected by visible signs.[d] 21 You won’t be able to say, ‘Here it is!’ or ‘It’s over there!’ For the Kingdom of God is already among you.[e]

22 Then he said to his disciples, “The time is coming when you will long to see the day when the Son of Man returns,[f] but you won’t see it. 23 People will tell you, Look, there is the Son of Man,’ or ‘Here he is,’ but don’t go out and follow them. 24 For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other, so it will be on the day when the Son of Man comes. 25 But first the Son of Man must suffer terribly[g] and be rejected by this generation.

26 “When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. 27 In those days, the people enjoyed banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat and the flood came and destroyed them all.

28 “And the world will be as it was in the days of Lot. People went about their daily business—eating and drinking, buying and selling, farming and building— 29 until the morning Lot left Sodom. Then fire and burning sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Yes, it will be ‘business as usual’ right up to the day when the Son of Man is revealed. 31 On that day a person out on the deck of a roof must not go down into the house to pack. A person out in the field must not return home. 32 Remember what happened to Lot’s wife! 33 If you cling to your life, you will lose it, and if you let your life go, you will save it. 34 That night two people will be asleep in one bed; one will be taken, the other left. 35 Two women will be grinding flour together at the mill; one will be taken, the other left.[h]

37 “Where will this happen, Lord?”[i] the disciples asked.

Jesus replied, “Just as the gathering of vultures shows there is a carcass nearby, so these signs indicate that the end is near.”[j]

Chapter 8

All that God Does Is In Balance

But The Balance Must Be Based On The Word,

and not the worldly balance that we work into the Word.

(Heb 11:6 NKJV) But without faith it is impossible to please Him,

for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that

He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Here In Lies the Secret To Living In The Prosperity Offered By God.

He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

So we should ask ourselves how do we diligently seek Him.

(Mat 25:34 NKJV) "Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

(Mat 25:35 NKJV) 'for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;

(Mat 25:36 NKJV) 'I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.'

(Mat 25:37 NKJV) "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?

(Mat 25:38 NKJV) 'When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?

(Mat 25:39 NKJV) 'Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'

(Mat 25:40 NKJV) "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'

(Mat 25:41 NKJV) "Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

(Mat 25:42 NKJV) 'for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;

(Mat 25:43 NKJV) 'I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.'

(Mat 25:44 NKJV) "Then they also will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?'

(Mat 25:45 NKJV) "Then He will answer them, saying, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'

(Mat 25:46 NKJV) "And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

We diligently seek Him by

Giving to God, by spreading the gospel

&

Giving to the needs of Others.

The world tries to create worldly prosperity by getting.

This is the world's standard for prosperity, getting stuff,

and then getting more stuff. Then use your stuff to leverage and control others so you can get more stuff.

God’s standard of prosperity is created by giving.

The scriptures shown in the previous chapters and upcoming

chapters of this book, make it very clear, all that we have,

should be apart of the flow of our giving.

What we have in this world should not be something

that we hold on to, lust after and keep for ourselves.

If we are truly in Christ Jesus,

self is denied and it is no longer

I that live but Christ that lives in me.

In Christ there will always be more than enough.

Through faith we enter in to the flow of giving.

In the flow, He is always able to be more than enough.

To enter the flow is a by faith, step of faith.

To really get down to the bottom line of trusting and obeying God,

requires us to enter into,

what will be a new level of relationship with God for most of us.

To take God literally in such scriptures as

the following requires a direct

Rhema revelation from God.

Nothing else can take you and sustain

you at this level of surrender but your own ability

to receive directly from God.

Let anything or anyone else lead

you to act at this level, and pending disaster lies ahead.

(Luke 12:33 & 34 NKJV)

(("Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys.

(34) For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also"))

As we enter the flow of giving and receiving according to the Word, we release ourselves from the things of this world that are totally unimportant to God.  We put our trust in God and become a part of God’s plan for financial freedom. In that flow, as we take these steps of faith,

He will ("open, for us,  the  body of Christ, the windows of heaven and pour out for us  as a whole such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it").

We create prosperity as we Give to God and others. Here in is the cycle of financial freedom that we as Christians can live in.  This truth is revealed in the following Scriptures,

(Rom 1:17 NKJV)

(17) For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith;

as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."

(Heb 10:35 - 39 NKJV)

(35) Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.

(36) For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

(37) "For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.

 (38) Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him."

(39) But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

What we must understand is financial freedom within

God’s plan is to walk in the cycle that faith creates.

We are not to place value on the things that this world places so much value on.

We are not to covet the things of this world,

but only use what we need to sustain our lives, within the flow of God’s prosperity. Here in is the secret of the faith walk with God.

(Luke 12:15 - 38 NKJV)

15 And He said to them, "Take heed and beware of covetousness,

for one's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses."

16 Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: "The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully.

17 "And he thought within himself, saying, 'What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?'

18 "So he said, 'I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods.

19 'And I will say to my soul, "Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry."'

20 "But God said to him, 'Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?'

21 "So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."

22 Then He said to His disciples, "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on.

23 "Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.

24 "Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?

25 "And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

26 "If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?

27 "Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

28 "If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?

29 "And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind.

30 "For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things.

31 "But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

32 "Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

33 "Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys.

34 "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

35 "Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning;

36 "and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately.

37 "Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them.

38 "And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

To understand financial freedom as taught in the Word of God and act on that freedom, will be the act of faith that will allow you to step into the flow of giving to God and others.

The Following Scriptures Open the Door for us to

understand the balance that is in God’s Definition of Prosperity.

We Have Four Principles Found In The Following Scriptures We Should Understand.

(Prov 11:24 & 25 NKJV)

There is one who scatters, yet increases more;

And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty.

 (25) The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.

This scripture say "The generous soul will be made rich"

A rich soul as we have already mentioned,

and will study more later,

is one that does not do his own will, but does the will of the Father.

This scripture has not a thing to do with my billfold,

God is not interested in spending any time thinking about my billfold,

He can fill up my billfold as many time a day

 as He has need to.

He wants me to walk in faith believing this to be so.

What is God interested in?

God’s interest is in my Heavenly Bank Account.

  • Principle one; There is one who scatters, yet increases more. Again I must return to the deny yourself or the empty vessel principle. God will bless us with much worldly treasure when He knows that we will only take out of His blessings to us the things we need in this world for our own personal well being. When we are willing to allow the over flow of our blessings to be a continuing flow to others, God will allow much worldly blessings to flow into our lives. The secret here is the flow, the wonderful flow that will provide me with much heavenly treasure.

  • Principle two; and the generous soul will be made rich. This is where we allow the influence of The Word to take over, and by pure faith, we live by God’s Spiritual Principles. How generous does God want us to be? Simply ask yourself, Where Is My Treasure? Do you want all the heavenly treasure you can possibly get? God wants you to have all the heavenly treasure you can get. That is the only treasure that will last for eternity. Why would God want to waste His time and your effort building a treasure chest for you that has no value? Want to find out if you really do trust God with all your heart? Want to find out how strong your faith really is? Do you want to know if you really believe that God is real? "Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. (34) "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also"

As you consider the truth of the scriptures that are being presented in this study, it so very important that you also consider the wisdom in the following statement.

(Do Not Take Any Action In The Area Of Giving And Receiving

Based On Any One Scripture or Group Of Scriptures.

Do Not Take Any Action In The Area Of Giving And Receiving

Based On Any Man Teaching On This Earth.

Our Daily Walk Is Based On Our Individual Personal Relationship With God,

What We Do In Our Daily Lives Must Come From

The Prayer Closet And From The Word That Is Burnt Into Our Hearts

By The Presents Of The Holy Spirit

As We Spend Time Entering Into

The Holy of Holies With Our Father.)

(Heb 4:16 NKJV) Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

When we come out from the presents of God,

we will be able to see clearly and our heart will be focused

on storing our riches in heaven, not on this earth.

If we store treasure on this earth,

our flesh or someone else’s flesh will get all fleshly over it.

  • Principle three; And there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty. There is a very important principle shown here. But only if you look at this scripture from the spiritual point of view. God has already said, I have the earthly needs that you have under control,

"O you of little faith?

Luke 12:29-31

New Living Translation (NLT)

29 “And don’t be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don’t worry about such things.

30 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs.

31 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.

If God has the earthly needs under control, then He is not talking about earthly poverty.

If He is not talking about earthly poverty, what type of poverty does this lead to?

Is there a possibility that there is a such thing as heavenly poverty and this is the poverty that is being referred to here?

  • Principle Fourth, And there is one who withholds more than is right. The fourth thing being referred to here is that God does require that we use a part of the flow to take care of our families and ourselves. The responsibly that we have to our families is made clear.

1 Tim 5:8  "If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."

We have a responsibly to provide for our own family.

In the God given financial freedom that should be a part of every Christian’s life,

our own family’s needs and security is a very important part of Gods plan for us.

A part of the heavenly flow that is from God is to be used to maintain our family’s needs and security.

However, it should be a part of the flow, not a separate stash.

That which we hold on to today, will become

The Lust Of The Eyes, Lust Of The Flesh, Pride Of Life And The Force of Greed, of tomorrow.

As we just mentioned and bears repeating,

Our riches are stored in heaven. not on this earth.

If we store treasure on this earth,

our flesh or someone else’s flesh will get all fleshly over it.

Guide Lines To Help Establish Financial Freedom.

Balance Balance Balance

All that God Does Is In Balance

But The Balance Must Be Based On The Word,

and not the worldly balance

that we work into the Word to satisfy

our own personal needs.

In the balance of God, there is a price to be paid on this earth.

It is called everything, self included.

You and you alone are responsible for this complete sacrifice,

which is called, working out your salvation with fear and trembling before God.

There is a balance that God has for you in your life.

No man on this earth can tell you what that balance is.

You, ALONE, with God is the only way that you will

ever find the self denied life that you are to live before God.

Be very weary of any man coming to you and telling you,

Thus saith the Lord God,

God through me is tell you to do this or to do that with your life.

God through me is telling you what you should do with any or all of your possessions.

God uses other to confirm what He has told us, not to direct us.

He is quite capable of directing us,

and He will always use the Word in some way to give us His direction.

All we must do is be willing to spend the time in prayer and in the Word

to get this direction From Him.

The Secret Here is "Jesus said to him."

When you act on any teaching in the Bible,

you act because on your face before God with the Word in your hand,

the Rhema of the Word is revealed to your heart. Through this revelation,

by faith in your walk with God,  You take action.

(Mat 19:21 – 29 NKJV)

21) Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."

22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

23 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.

24 "And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

25 When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, "Who then can be saved?"

26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

27 Then Peter answered and said to Him, "See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?"

28 So Jesus said to them, "Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

29 "And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.

As we enter the Following Chapters of this book, it is so important to remember,

You Do Nothing, Sell Nothing, Leave Nothing, Give Nothing, Until You Know

In Your Heart That

It Is God Telling You To Do So.

God has all the time you need to get a clear answer from Him.

You must be willing to take that time and get a clear answer from God.

satan is standing in the shadows waiting for the opportunity to confuse and mislead.

With prayer and the Word we can always overcome satan.

(1 John 4:2 NKJV) By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,

(1 John 4:3 NKJV) and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

(1 John 4:4 NKJV) You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Luke 12:29-31

Luke 12:29-31

New Living Translation (NLT)

29 “And don’t be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don’t worry about such things.

30 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs.

31 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.

(Mat 19:21 – 29 NKJV)

(1 John 4:2 NKJV)

(1 John 4:2 NKJV) By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,

(1 John 4:3 NKJV) and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

(1 John 4:4 NKJV) You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
