Matthew 25:31-46

King James Version (KJV)

31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Chapter 25

The Objective Of This Section

Is To Help Members Of The Laodicean Church

Move Their Membership To

The Church Of God, His Word & Others.

  • Eph 5:25, 26 & 27 NKJV

(25) Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also

 loved the church and gave Himself for her,

 (26) that He might sanctify and cleanse her

with the washing of water by the word,

(27)that He might present her to Himself

 a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle

 or any such thing, but that she

 should be holy and without blemish.

Jesus is coming for a church without spot or wrinkle.

The washing and ironing needed to achieve

 God’s plan for financial freedom is simple.

Finances only become a problem when complicated

 by the lust of the eye, lust of the flesh, pride of life

 and greed found in our hearts individually

and collectively within the body of Christ.

Without the truth about God’s

 plan for financial freedom found

in the Word, The Lust Of The Eye,

Lust Of The Flesh, Pride Of Life

And Greed Will Produce Membership

into The Laodicean Church.

(Rev 3:14 – 18 NKJV)"

(14) And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,

'These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness,

the Beginning of the creation of God: (15) "I know your works,

 that you are neither cold nor hot.

 I could wish you were cold or hot.

 (16) "So then, because you are lukewarm,

and neither cold nor hot,

I will vomit you out of My mouth.

 (17) "Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy,

and have need of nothing': and do not know that

you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked;

 (18) "I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire,

 that you may be rich; and white garments,

that you may be clothed, that the shame of your

nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint

your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

The Objective Of This section Is:

  • To Help Christians Understand Laodicean Membership.
  • To Encourage The Laodicean Church Members To Move Their Membership Back To The Family Of God, His Word, & Others.

Members Of the Family Of God Become Laodiceans

  • When They Are Not Taught Basic Gospel Principles Concerning Giving And Receiving.
  • When They Are Incorrectly Taught Concerning Giving And Receiving.
  • When They Allow The Influence Of The World To Dictate To Them The Principles Of Giving And Receiving Rather Than The Word Of God.

Bible finances are not understood

Many Christians are members of the Laodicean church because these truths of the Bible

 concerning finances are not understood. Prosperity is taught, but not God’s prosperity.

 God’s prosperity is so simple that we have simply missed it

The Laodicean Church is Self-Centered & Materialistic

Christ Is Coming For A Glorious Church

Not A Self-Centered & Materialistic Church

(Eph 5:25, 26 & 27 NKJV)

(25)"…… Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,

26) that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing

of water by the word, (27) that He might present her to Himself

a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing,

 but that she should be holy and without blemish."

Walking in the Flesh and Not in The Spirit

The Standard of Living of the Laodiceans

  • The rule of thumb for a Laodicean is more and more and more stuff for my family and me.
  • Laodiceans drive the finest autos possible, live in the most expensive homes that they can afford, and believe that this is God’s plan of prosperity.
  • Many Laodiceans spend more money on fun and pleasure each year than the single parent, church employee, Christian educator, the elderly, the widow, homeless, orphan or Missionary have to survive off of each year.
  • Laodiceans praise God for all the stuff that they have and at the same time continue to want and seek more. They are never satisfied within themselves, they always are seeking the newest autos, a better, home and more, more, more stuff. However, when it comes to giving to others & the gospel, they never have enough left to do much damage to the lack that is present within the church, the family of God.
  • In many Laodicean families, both parents work to feed the stuff addiction, leaving their children to be raised by someone else. The result of this reaches so far into the pit of hell, it is very frightening. The excuse that is used is both of us have to work to be able to make it. Make it how? Not according to Gods Word, but according to the standards that this world lives by.
  • Laodiceans lack the faith, concern or the will to become an empty vessel for God to use to funnel blessings to others.
  • Laodiceans are blessed, but not by God. "They need to anoint their eyes with eye salve, that they may see that they are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked";

Blessings from God come when we are an empty vessel, and a funnel to be

 used to channel the that which God gives us to others. If your life is not a

prime example of being empty to self and a funnel to others, consider these to verses.

(2 Cor 11:13 – 14 NKJV)

(13) For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into

 apostles of Christ. (14) And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

(Mat 4:8 – 9 NKJV)

(8) Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed

Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. (9) And he said to Him,

"All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me."

You may not be worshiping satan himself, but if you will worship stuff,

he will make sure you get just enough to keep you wanting more.

While I was working to complete this section in this study, a friend

gave me a tape of a well know Bible teacher. This tape was basically

teaching that if we as Christians want to be apart of the in time move

of the Holy Spirit of God, we had better be doing Gods business or

 fulfilling Gods call in our lives, how, today. A tomorrow that is very

 soon to come will be to late. The following scripture is one used on this tape.

This is a scripture that I personally do not remember reading, yet needed to be

apart of this study. Why? This one group scriptures comes close to summing up

everything that I have presented throughout this study. God wants this message

 given to the church. I believe that anything missing as to His will for this study,

He will give it to me.

(Amos 6:1 NIV)

Woe to you who are complacent in Zion, and to you who feel secure on Mount Samaria,

 you notable men of the foremost nation, to whom the people of Israel come!

(Another translation says, "Woe to you who are at ease". How complacent

and at easy have we become in the U.S. with our walk with Christ. Many,

many Christians log more hours in front of the TV in one month than

they log in one year, working to minister to other in the body or to

spread to gospel to the lost.

(Amos 6:2 NIV)

Go to Calneh and look at it; go from there to great HaMath,

 and then go down to Gath in Philistia. Are they better off than

your two kingdoms? Is their land larger than yours?

I do not have any comparisons of our country to other countries,

but I can lay our country besides the Word. Our country is filled

to extremes with every sin mentioned in the Bible. This country

is no longer a Christian Nation. God is a just and fair God.

If he judged Sodom and Gomorrah, He will bring judgement to this country.

(Amos 6:3 NIV)

You put off the evil day and bring near a reign of terror.

(Amos 6:3 NKJV)

Woe to you who put far off the day of doom, Who cause the seat of violence

to come near;

This scripture is saying because we have come so callus to sin,

 that we can not see that our callus attitude toward sin is bring

the day of judgement upon us.

(Amos 6:4 - 6 NIV)

(4) You lie on beds inlaid with ivory and lounge on your couches.

 You dine on choice lambs and fattened calves.

(5) You strum away on your harps like David and improvise

on musical instruments. (6) You drink wine by the bowlful

and use the finest lotions, but you do not grieve over the ruin of Joseph.

(Amos 6:6 NKJV)

Who drink wine from bowls, And anoint yourselves with the best ointments,

But are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

God is literally jumping up and down and screaming

at us in this single group of scriptures.

"But you do not grieve over the ruin (or affliction) of Joseph."

What is Joseph in this scripture. As spoken by

the teacher that I got this scripture from,

Joseph = Israel = The Church

In this country we have built a lot of big and small beautiful buildings.

 Within a ten mile radius of where I am setting at this very moment,

and I am new to this end of town, I can count in my mind twenty

or more large buildings we call church. We have built many,

many buildings yet we have not built the Church in this country.

As a whole, the believers in Jesus Christ in the U.S.

are in great affliction and the work of the Church

as declared in the Bible is in ruin. Sure, there is a lot going on,

 but it is not as one Body, the only Body, which is Christ.

We have a lot of individual stand alone, self-centered,

do it for the wrong reason bless me groups.

If we are willing to look at this country and the sin

that so freely rules and controls so much of what we do,

 God is willing to open our eyes to the truth.

"I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire,

that you may be rich; and white garments,

that you may be clothed, that the shame of your

nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your

 eyes with eye salve, that you may see."

The Church is the body of Christ, those individuals

who declare that it is no long I who live,

but Christ who live in me.

 God will allow you to see the world through

 the eyes of Christ, if you are willing to

give up your will and say to God,

Not my will God,

But your will be done in my life.

The time is now, there is no more time left for us in the Body of Christ

to be us.

We must lose our lives here on this earth to Christ,

Now.

(Rev 3:19 NKJV) "As many as I love,

I rebuke and chasten.

Therefore be zealous and repent.

(Rev 3:20 NKJV) "Behold,

I stand at the door and knock.

If anyone hears My voice and

opens the door, I will come in to him

and dine with him, and he with Me.

(Rev 3:21 NKJV) "To him who overcomes

I will grant to sit with Me on My throne,

as I also overcame and sat down

with My Father on His throne.

(Rev 3:22 NKJV) "He who has an ear,

let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."' "

If we will not hear what the spirit of the

Lord says to us the Church,

The results are very clear.

(Amos 6:7 NIV) Therefore you will be among the first to go into exile;

 your feasting and lounging will end.

Laodiceans are sour milk in the mouth of the Lord

The Laodicean lifestyle does not wash and does not balanced with the teachings

of Jesus while he walked the earth. The standard of living for members of the

Laodicean church is that of the world and not of The Word. He who does not move

his membership will be vomited.

The Laodicean Church Will Be Vomited!

That which we hold on to today becomes the Lust Of The Eyes, Lust Of The Flesh,

Pride Of Life And Greed of our hearts tomorrow.

If we will receive the Word,

we will then be able to turn looses,

open our hand wide and allow

the blessings of God to flow through us.

His blessings to us and through

us to others will become much

more than we could even imagine.

Who Are you Laboring For,

Self or Others?

If self, You Are A Member Of The Laodicean Church!

  • If you are caught up with the daily need to provide a lot of stuff for you and your family;
  • If you think that the things that God has given you, are mostly for you and yours and not the whole family of God;
  • If you live in the dream world that centers on all the stuff that will be yours someday;
  • If you know one Christian Brother or Sister or you are not seeking Christian Brothers or Sisters in need and you have not determined in your heart to give to the needs of God’s family;
  • If you know of one Christian family that lives a much lower standard of living than you do and if you think that it is not your responsible to help them to improve the quality of life that they live;
  • If you are able to turn your back and do nothing to help others live, free from worldly need and wants of of a moderate Christian lifestyle;
  • If being able to provide for your family, plus your bigger family, the body of Christ and give to the work of the Lord and the spread of the gospel is not what motivates you to get out of bed each day;

If any of this is true about you,

Your Heart is in need of some

Rhema and you are in desperate

Need to Move your membership from

The Laodicean Church!

Laodiceans Are Seeking Abundant Life.

But Not The Abundant Life Jesus Offers.

"I Have Come That They May Have Life, And

That They May Have It More Abundantly"

(John 10:9 - 10NKJV)

(9) "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved,

 and will go in and out and find pasture.

(10) "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.

 I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

The Question is, What Does Jesus Consider

Abundant Life On This Earth?

(John 12:24 – 26 NASB)

(24) "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies,

it remains by itself alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

 (25) "He who loves his life loses it; and he who hates his life

in this world shall keep it to life eternal.

(26) "If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am,

there shall My servant also be; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

I guarantee you, when you stand before God,

The only thing that He will be interested

in as to how abundant your life was,

s how many peoples lives did you touch in

Jesus name.

(Mat 25:34 -46 NKJV)

34 "Then the King will say to those on His right hand,

 'Come, you blessed of My Father,

inherit the kingdom prepared for you

from the foundation of the world:

35 'for I was hungry and you gave Me food;

I was thirsty and you gave Me drink;

I was a stranger and you took Me in;

36 'I was naked and you clothed Me;

I was sick and you visited Me;

I was in prison and you came to Me.'

37 "Then the righteous will answer Him,

 saying, 'Lord, when did we see

You hungry and feed You,

or thirsty and give You drink?

38 'When did we see You a stranger

and take You in, or naked and clothe You?

39 'Or when did we see You sick, or in prison,

 and come to You?'

  1. "And the King will answer and say to them,
  2. 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you
  3.  did it to one of the least of these My brethren,
  4. you did it to Me.'

41 "Then He will also say to those on the left hand,

 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting

fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 'for I was hungry and you gave Me no food;

I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;

43 'I was a stranger and you did not take Me in,

 naked and you did not clothe Me,

sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.'

44 "Then they also will answer Him, saying,

 'Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty

or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison,

and did not minister to You?'

45 "Then He will answer them, saying,

'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as

you did not do it to one of the least of these,

you did not do it to Me.'

46 "And these will go away into everlasting

punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

The Problem With The Laodicean Church Is They

Adopted The World’s Definition Of What If Means To Have

Abundant Life,

Which Is Center On

Self & Stuff.

Not God’s, Definition of

Abundant Life

Which Is Center On

God and Others.

The Things of This World,

Will Cost You More Than You Ever Wanted To Pay.

To you my long and trusted friend I say.

Please, Oh Please, turn from the error of your way.

Turn to the God, Of Love, 0f hope, Of Peace, this very day.

Turn to the God who waits and longs to here you say.

"Oh God, I come to you, Please help me find THE WAY!

I can't go on, I must have your loving help this very day."

And even while you read this line, the God of Love has this to say;

The time is short, the hour is near,

So Hurry, Come Quickly, I will show you THE WAY!

Lost one, Listen, Come Quickly, Come Quickly!

Please don't delay, Come to Me this very day!

My friend, Why do you continue to ignore, THE WORD,

that God has to say?

How grieved and sorry He is that you continue to be that way.

For God knows that it will soon cost you more to delay,

Than you ever wanted to pay.

If you must, then refuse to listen,

To THE WORD, that God has to say.

If you choose, go ahead, search and try to find your own way.

Continue, if you must , to refuge to obey,

THE WORD, Yes His WORD

The Word of the only true God, that live today

But remember my friend, that you will Live,

YES LIVE, to see the day.

That day, that is soon to come, and we will all here you say.

"Oh God, YOU were right, to go my own way,

cost me more this day,

Than I ever wanted to pay."

But you my friend that reads this truth, this day.

You still have time to turn to God in pray.

So Please, My Friend, Ask Jesus to come into your heart, to stay.

Let Him take control of your life, TODAY.

The only way is the way of the Word,

Jesus.

If you want to know how to follow Jesus

You must get so full of the Word

that the only way that you can see

    • this  world
    • the things of this world

Is through the  yes of Jesus.

A friend told me that I was getting so spiritually minded

that I was no earthly good.

In all spiritual reality,

my earthly good in Gods eyes is measured by

how spiritually minded or how full of the Word I can become.

To be filled with the Word is to let Jesus live in me.

(John 1:14 NKJV)

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory,

 the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."

The only begotten of the Father,

Jesus

When you see this world through the Eyes of Christ.

Then the things of this world will have

Absolutely no hold on your life.

God has made it so clear to me.

if we will look at every moment of everyday

through the eyes of Christ

Crying out to God saying,

Thank you God for allowing me to walk my daily walk

in Your perfect will

for my life

through giving up all to you.

Thank you God for allowing me to understand

that I must die to my self daily,

and allow Jesus to live His life through me

every moment of everyday.

Thank you God for allowing me to

Give up,

all that I am,

all that I have,

everyday of my life.

Oh God I pray

(Mat 6:9 NKJV)

 "In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

Father, I worship you with all my heart, I praise your Holy Name.

(Mat 6:10 NKJV)

Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

Father, I pray that Jesus will soon return and take us, His body into your presents,

 which will start the final count down to you setting up your Kingdom on this earth.

Until then God, Your perfect Will be done by the Body Of Christ, Your Church on this earth.

(Mat 6:11 NKJV)

 Give us this day our daily bread.

Father, give us this day, our day bread, that part of Jesus who is the bread of life,

that we each need this day for the individual circumstances we face.

(Mat 6:12 NKJV)

And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

Help us God, to walk sensitive to the Holy Spirit, Who convicts our hearts of sin,

 and gives us the wisdom and strength to for give those who may sin against us.

(Mat 6:13 NKJV)

 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Thank you father for giving me the strength that I need to deny my self by over coming

the lust of the eyes, the lust on the flesh, the pride of life and greed that is of this world and lives in my flesh.

Deliver me God from the wiles of the devil by helping me put on the full armor that you have

 provided for me while I am on this earth.

(Eph 6:10 NKJV)

 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

(Eph 6:11 NKJV) Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand

against the wiles of the devil.

(Eph 6:12 NKJV)

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities,

 against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,

against spiritual hosts of wickedness  in the heavenly places.

(Eph 6:13 NKJV)

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may

be able to withstand in the evil day,

 and having done all, to stand.

(Eph 6:14 NKJV) Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth,

 having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

(Eph 6:15 NKJV)

 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

(Eph 6:16 NKJV) above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able

to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

(Eph 6:17 NKJV) And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit,

 which is the word of God;

(Eph 6:18 NKJV) praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,

being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints;

"For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen".

New Living Translation (NLT)

The Message to the Church in Laodicea

14 “Write this letter to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the one who is the Amen—the faithful and true witness, the beginning[a] of God’s new creation:

15 “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! 16 But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! 17 You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. 18 So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. 19 I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.

20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. 21 Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.

22 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.”
