Psalm 89

If you need a title for this it is God is not interested in playing games with our disobedience

New Living Translation (NLT)

A psalm[a] of Ethan the Ezrahite.

I will sing of the Lord’s unfailing love forever!
Young and old will hear of your faithfulness.
Your unfailing love will last forever.
Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens.

The Lord said, “I have made a covenant with David, my chosen servant.
I have sworn this oath to him:
‘I will establish your descendants as kings forever;
they will sit on your throne from now until eternity.’” Interlude
All heaven will praise your great wonders, Lord;
myriads of angels will praise you for your faithfulness.
For who in all of heaven can compare with the Lord?
What mightiest angel is anything like the Lord?
The highest angelic powers stand in awe of God.
He is far more awesome than all who surround his throne.
O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies!
Where is there anyone as mighty as you, O Lord?
    You are entirely faithful.

You rule the oceans.
    You subdue their storm-tossed waves.
10 You crushed the great sea monster.[b]
You scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.
11 The heavens are yours, and the earth is yours;
everything in the world is yours—you created it all.
12 You created north and south.
Mount Tabor and Mount Hermon praise your name.
13 Powerful is your arm!
    Strong is your hand!
Your right hand is lifted high in glorious strength.
14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne.
Unfailing love and truth walk before you as attendants.
15 Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship,
for they will walk in the light of your presence, Lord.
16 They rejoice all day long in your wonderful reputation.
    They exult in your righteousness.
17 You are their glorious strength.
It pleases you to make us strong.
18 Yes, our protection comes from the Lord,
and he, the Holy One of Israel, has given us our king.

19 Long ago you spoke in a vision to your faithful people.
You said, “I have raised up a warrior.
I have selected him from the common people to be king.
20 I have found my servant David.
I have anointed him with my holy oil.
21 I will steady him with my hand;
with my powerful arm I will make him strong.
22 His enemies will not defeat him,
nor will the wicked overpower him.
23 I will beat down his adversaries before him
and destroy those who hate him.
24 My faithfulness and unfailing love will be with him,
and by my authority he will grow in power.
25 I will extend his rule over the sea,
    his dominion over the rivers.
26 And he will call out to me, ‘You are my Father,
my God, and the Rock of my salvation.’
27 I will make him my firstborn son,
    the mightiest king on earth.
28 I will love him and be kind to him forever;
my covenant with him will never end.
29 I will preserve an heir for him;
his throne will be as endless as the days of heaven.
30 But if his descendants forsake my instructions
and fail to obey my regulations,
31 if they do not obey my decrees
and fail to keep my commands,
32 then I will punish their sin with the rod,
    and their disobedience with beating.
33 But I will never stop loving him
nor fail to keep my promise to him.
34 No, I will not break my covenant;
I will not take back a single word I said.
35 I have sworn an oath to David,
and in my holiness I cannot lie:
36 His dynasty will go on forever;
his kingdom will endure as the sun.
37 It will be as eternal as the moon,
my faithful witness in the sky!” Interlude

38 But now you have rejected him and cast him off.
You are angry with your anointed king.
39 You have renounced your covenant with him;
you have thrown his crown in the dust.
40 You have broken down the walls protecting him
and ruined every fort defending him.
41 Everyone who comes along has robbed him,
and he has become a joke to his neighbors.
42 You have strengthened his enemies
    and made them all rejoice.
43 You have made his sword useless
and refused to help him in battle.
44 You have ended his splendor
    and overturned his throne.
45 You have made him old before his time
    and publicly disgraced him. Interlude

46 O Lord, how long will this go on?
    Will you hide yourself forever?
How long will your anger burn like fire?
47 Remember how short my life is,
how empty and futile this human existence!
48 No one can live forever; all will die.
No one can escape the power of the grave.[c] Interlude

49 Lord, where is your unfailing love?
You promised it to David with a faithful pledge.
50 Consider, Lord, how your servants are disgraced!
I carry in my heart the insults of so many people.
51 Your enemies have mocked me, O Lord;
they mock your anointed king wherever he goes.

52 Praise the Lord forever!
    Amen and amen!

Chapter 24

The Power Twins

Again, I thought that I had reached the completion of this study.

Again, the Lord spoke very clearly to my heart and told me He wanted me to include

"The Power Twins" in this study.

As follows is what He revealed

to my heart to be "The Power Twins".

The Power Twins

Love

Forgiveness

Faith

Hope

Prayer

Fasting

Mercy

Grace

Joy

Peace

If a Christian does not have a clear understanding of what it means to deny self

and daily take up the cross and follow Jesus, he is a carnal Christian and will

have very limited success with the first of all commandments and the second

of all commandments. When we as Christians receives the Rhema of the Word

and truly understand self denial and daily cross baring, we will start the,

One, Two , Threes and Fours of Loving the Lord with, all our Heart,

all our Soul, all of our Mind and all of our strength.

As this takes place, these five sets of power twins are

the corner stone building blocks for the self denied walk with the Lord.

As this process takes place in our life,

Love and Forgiveness will manifest its self in our lives.

Our daily walk with Christ will be governed

by our Faith and Hope in Him.

Prayer and Fasting will be the point of contact

that we have with the

Mercy and Grace of God.

The Mercy and Grace of God is

God’s manifestation of His Love to us.

(His Mercy) and the release of His Power( His Grace) to us.

As His love and forgiveness

is manifested  in our lives.

His Joy and His Peace

will be our reward until we stand personally before Him.

As I just read back over that paragraph

my spirit rejoiced at the truth

and power that is in those few words.

I can see how, as I willingly deny my self and allow

the power of the Word of God to live in me,

I can be used by God to the full extent

of His perfect will for my life.

All it takes is for me, to get me out of the way,

which is accomplished through

the daily crucifixion of myself.

When it is no longer I that lives,

but Christ that lives in me and in you,

look out world, and look out devil.

Look Who Is Back

 On This Earth.

Without the Power Twins at work in our lives,

a Christian will walk spiritually out of control,

walk in the flesh.

They will be limited in the daily manifestation

of the work of Christ

and there will be limits to the power of God in our life.

I can see very clearly that this study could turn

into a major study within its self.

I am going to leave, the major part,

 up to each individual reader.

If you get to the point in your walk with Christ

that you want to give up all,

and allow Christ to live His life through you,

this will be one of the

most exciting personal studies

 that you will ever do.

I am going to give a few starting point

scriptures and a brief explanation

of each of the power twins and

how they effect each other.

Love and Forgiveness will manifest

its self in our lives.

The love of God and

the forgiveness of God

is an action we take,

not a feeling we that we have.

Feelings are of this world and

 God does not operate

in the realm of feelings.

As you will read in the following scriptures,

Love and forgiveness is something we do.

Love

Love is the act of obeying God’s Word

which will be manifested as giving to God and others.

As you read the following scriptures you

 will find statements and commands

concerning Gods Love.

You will find actions that will be taken

 because of God’s love.

You will find nothing about the feeling of love.

(John 15:10 - 16 NKJV)

(10) "If you keep My commandments,

you will abide in My love,

just as I have kept My Father's commandments and

abide in His love.

(John 15:11 NKJV) "These things I have spoken to you,

that My joy may remain in you,

and that your joy may be full.

(12) "This is My commandment,

that you love one another as I have loved you.

 (13) "Greater love has no one than this,

than to lay down one's life for his friends.

(14) "You are My friends if you do

whatever I command you.

(15) "No longer do I call you servants,

for a servant does not know what his master is doing;

but I have called you friends,

for all things that I heard from My Father

I have made known to you.

(16) "You did not choose Me,

but I chose you and appointed you

that you should go and bear fruit,

and that your fruit should remain,

that whatever you ask the Father in

My name He may give you.

(17) By this we know love,

because He laid down His life for us.

And we also ought to lay down

our lives for the brethren.

But whoever has this world's goods,

and sees his brother in need,

and shuts up his heart from him,

how does the love of God abide in him?

(1 John 3:18 –19 NKJV)

(18) My little children, let us not love

in word or in tongue,

but in deed and in truth.

(19) And by this we know that we are of the truth,

and shall assure our hearts before Him.

(Mat 22:39 NKJV)

"And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'

The second of all commandments is

Love your neighbor as your self.

The example that Jesus gives

as to who is our neighbor and what is love,

is the stories of the good Samaritan

(Luke 10:29 – 38).

The story is one based on the act of doing

what is necessary by giving of self to help another.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is the action of taking control

of the thoughts and feeling as taught in the study of the mind.

(2 Cor 10:3 NKJV)

(3) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.

(4) For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in

God for pulling down strongholds, (5) casting down arguments and

every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God,

bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

6) and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

(Mat 18:21 – 22 NKJV)

(21) Then Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me,

and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" (22) Jesus said to him,

"I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

(Mat 6:12 NKJV)

(12) And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

(13) And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

 (14) "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

(15) "But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

(Mat 5:40 NKJV)

(40) "If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also.

 (41) "And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.

(42) "Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.

 (43) "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'

(44) "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you,

and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

 (45) "that you may be sons of your Father in heaven;

for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good,

and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

 (46) "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you?

Do not even the tax collectors do the same?

 (47) "And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others?

Do not even the tax collectors do so?

(48) "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Love and Forgiveness is the balance of Loving men because of God’s Love

for them and forgiving them for their wrongful acts against us as we

continue to reach out to them to show them the salvation of the Lord.

Our daily walk with Christ will be governed by our

Faith and Hope in Him.

I am going to share a short example that the Lord use to teach me how faith and hope work.

This example made it very simple for me to understand how faith and hope work together.

I hope it will do the same for you.

I, in the past have bought computers and computer software through mail order companies.

It is a very simple process. You look in there catalogs and decide what you want.

You call them on the telephone and tell them the item you want to purchase.

You give them your credit card number. They process the order using your credit card,

if it goes through, you just bought yourself the whatever.

It is now yours, but you have to wait for them to ship the item and

the delivery service to bring it to your door.

You know it is coming, you just are not sure when.

So you get up every morning with excitement an anticipation and say to yourself,

I sure hope my whatever comes today.

Your hope is the expression of your having faith in,

one the company you bought the item from,

and your trust in the delivery service to be able to find you,

so they can deliver the whatever.

You have already paid for with your credit card. You believe that the what ever is your.

You believe that it is coming.

This belief can actually be measured by you by the hope

that you have that this thing is going to show up at your door any day now.

I could really get into some major explaining how this example parallels

our faith that we have in God and the hope that His mercy and grace

will manifest in our life. But instead we will simply let the master Himself do it,

Jesus Christ the Word (John 1:14)

(1 Cor 13:13 NKJV)

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

(Heb 11:1 NKJV)

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

(Heb 11:6 NKJV)

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to

God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

(Rom 10:17 NKJV)

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

(Col 1:23 NKJV)

if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast,

and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard,

which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

(1 Th 1:2 – 3 NKJV)

(2) We give thanks to God always for you all,

making mention of you in our prayers

(3) remembering without ceasing your work of faith,

labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ

in the sight of our God and Father,

Prayer And Fasting Will Be The Point Of Contact That We Have With

The Mercy And Grace Of God.

I was having a major struggle crucifixion of some major strong holds is my flesh.

"Lord, please help me get free from these strong holds of the flesh that are in my life."

I was now praying and studying the Word more than I had done for many years.

But it seemed that these strong holds could not be conquered.

The Lord spoke to my heart and told me to add Fasting to the list.

He said Prayer and Fasting together are a very important parts of the power twins

that allow My mercy, grace, peace and joy to flow into your life.

Just as casting down imaginations is a mental drill that has spiritual power to do spiritual battle,

fasting with your prayer is a physical drill that also has spiritual power

to help you over come the power hold that the flesh has on you.

The lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, pride of life and the force of greed

and can be crushed through the spiritual power of fasting with

your prayer as you daily feed your spirit The Word of God.

Jesus Fasted forty days and nights to be ready to face

satan and start His ministry.

Where does that leave us.

(Mat 3:16 –17 & 4:1 – 2 NKJV)

When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water;

and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God

descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.

(17) And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying,

"This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

(4:1) Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

 (2) And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.

Fasting open the door to for us to receive the power of God

and the knowledge of His will, for our lives and in the lives of others.

Fasting open the door to for us to receive the power of God to stand against

the powers of satan in our lives or and in the lives of others

(Mat 17:20 NKJV)

So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly,

I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed,

you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,'

and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

(Mat 17:21 NKJV)

"However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting."

(Acts 10:30 NKJV)

(30) So Cornelius said, "Four days ago I was fasting until this hour;

and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood

before me in bright clothing, (31) "and said, 'Cornelius, your prayer

has been heard, and your alms are remembered in the sight of God.

(Acts 13:2 NKJV)

(2) As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said,

"Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them."

(3) Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.

 (4) So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia,

and from there they sailed to Cyprus.

The Mercy And Grace Of God Is God’s Manifestation Of

His Endless Love(Mercy) to us and The Release of His Power(Grace) To Us.

(Heb 4:15 – 16 NKJV)

(15) For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses,

but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

(16) Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace,

that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

(1 Tim 1:2 NKJV)

To Timothy, a true son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God our

Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

(2 John 1:3 NKJV)

Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ,

the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

As His Endless Love And The Release of His Power Is Manifested In Our Lives

His Joy And His Peace

Will Be Our Reward Until We Stand Personally Before Him.

Gods Joy and His Peace are spiritual forces that do spiritual work for our total well being.

They are not mental or emotional feelings that make you feel good.

The Joy and Peace of the Lord is a force of strength

sent to help us control physical feels that would cause

us to act out in a way other than in faith towards God.

(Rom 15:13 NKJV)

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing,

that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

(Rom 14:16 – 17 NKJV)

(16) Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil;

(17) for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking,

but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

The Joy of the Lord is a spiritual force that will help you rise above

the physical feelings that would over come you in times of hardship and stress.

(Neh 8:9 - 10 NKJV)

(9) And Nehemiah, who was the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe,

and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people,

"This day is holy to the LORD your God; do not mourn nor weep."

For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the Law.

(10) Then he said to them, "Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet,

 and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared;

for this day is holy to our LORD. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."

(Acts 20:24 NKJV)

"But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself,

so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which

I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

God’s Peace will keep your heart and mind in Christ Jesus

when the problems that you face become so over whelming

that in the natural physical world things look impossible.

(Phil 4:4 NKJV)

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

(5) Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

(6) Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication,

 with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

(7) and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,

will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

When you are fighting the good fight of faith, and the load seems much to

heavy to carry any further, stop and lean on the joy and peace of the Lord.

They are strong pillars of spiritual strength to help see us through.

Proverbs 23

Proverbs 23

New Living Translation (NLT)

23 While dining with a ruler,
pay attention to what is put before you.
If you are a big eater,
    put a knife to your throat;
don’t desire all the delicacies,
for he might be trying to trick you.

Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich.
Be wise enough to know when to quit.
In the blink of an eye wealth disappears,
    for it will sprout wings
and fly away like an eagle.

Don’t eat with people who are stingy;
    don’t desire their delicacies.
They are always thinking about how much it costs.[a]
“Eat and drink,” they say, but they don’t mean it.
You will throw up what little you’ve eaten,
and your compliments will be wasted.

Don’t waste your breath on fools,
for they will despise the wisest advice.

10 Don’t cheat your neighbor by moving the ancient boundary markers;
don’t take the land of defenseless orphans.
11 For their Redeemer[b] is strong;
he himself will bring their charges against you.

12 Commit yourself to instruction;
listen carefully to words of knowledge.

13 Don’t fail to discipline your children.
They won’t die if you spank them.
14 Physical discipline
may well save them from death.[c]

15 My child,[d] if your heart is wise,
    my own heart will rejoice!
16 Everything in me will celebrate
when you speak what is right.

17 Don’t envy sinners,
but always continue to fear the Lord.
18 You will be rewarded for this;
your hope will not be disappointed.

19 My child, listen and be wise:
Keep your heart on the right course.
20 Do not carouse with drunkards
    or feast with gluttons,
21 for they are on their way to poverty,
and too much sleep clothes them in rags.

22 Listen to your father, who gave you life,
and don’t despise your mother when she is old.
23 Get the truth and never sell it;
also get wisdom, discipline, and good judgment.
24 The father of godly children has cause for joy.
What a pleasure to have children who are wise.[e]
25 So give your father and mother joy!
May she who gave you birth be happy.

26 O my son, give me your heart.
May your eyes take delight in following my ways.
27 A prostitute is a dangerous trap;
a promiscuous woman is as dangerous as falling into a narrow well.
28 She hides and waits like a robber,
eager to make more men unfaithful.

29 Who has anguish? Who has sorrow?
Who is always fighting? Who is always complaining?
Who has unnecessary bruises? Who has bloodshot eyes?
30 It is the one who spends long hours in the taverns,
    trying out new drinks.
31 Don’t gaze at the wine, seeing how red it is,
how it sparkles in the cup, how smoothly it goes down.
32 For in the end it bites like a poisonous snake;
    it stings like a viper.
33 You will see hallucinations,
and you will say crazy things.
34 You will stagger like a sailor tossed at sea,
    clinging to a swaying mast.
35 And you will say, “They hit me, but I didn’t feel it.
I didn’t even know it when they beat me up.
When will I wake up
so I can look for another drink?”
