All You Can Be
(Mark 12:29 NKJV) Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.
(Mark 12:30 NKJV) 'And you shall love the LORD your God
with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.'
This is the first commandment.
(Mark 12:31 NKJV) "And the second, like it, is this: '
You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
There is no other commandment greater than these."
The only way to full fill this commandment is through a daily desire to be
"All You Can Be"
in the army of God.
(2 Tim 2:3 NKJV) You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
(2 Tim 2:4 NKJV) No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.
Some how we seem to forget that we are here for a greater good than ourselves.
When we accept Jesus as our savior, we are joining the army of God to fight in the greatest war that has been and will every be fought in this vast universe.
This war is the battle for the eternal spirit and the loss of the soul of men and women on this earth. This war has real casualties each and ever moment of everyday. The death of a unsaved individual, no Matter how physically violate or peace full the passing away, the life of the flesh seems, after the death of the body, here on earth there is a sense of real serenity. It seems over.
But in that moment of serenity on earth, the spirit of the unsaved individual enters the eternal fires of hell. The Bible says "There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth," which starts at the very moment of death and will last for all eternity. If we could talk to a man such as the one in the store of the rich man and Lazarus our urgency for the lost would greatly change.
War is hell and battle fields are always bloody, gory and gross.
The problem with the battle fields for the eternal hearts of men is that the real blood and gore is just beyond our ability to see and here.
Because we can not see and hear the horrible results of being in the pit of hell,
in this war for the hearts of men, it is very easy to allow the
lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, the pride of life and the force of greed
to distract us from the truth of real death.
The Heart Felt Warnings Below From God are to those who are allowing the forces of the flesh to rob them of the great rewards of loving God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.'
(2 Tim 3:1 NKJV) But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: (2) For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, (3 ) unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,(4 ) traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
(5 ) having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
What I personally have to remember is if I only act on one of the above, I am apart of the group!
(Rev 3:14 NKJV) "And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, 'These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:
(Rev 3:15 NKJV) "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.
(Rev 3:16 NKJV) "So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
(Rev 3:17 NKJV) "Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing'; and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked;
(Rev 3:18 NKJV) "I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.
(Rev 3:19 NKJV) "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
(Rev 3:20 NKJV) "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
(Rev 3:21 NKJV) "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
(Rev 3:22 NKJV) "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."' "
