The Stair Steps To Earthly Abundance And
Jesus changed the standard by which believers would live after His coming. We now live in the fulfillment of the promises of the Word .
Jesus was the first born from the dead. He took our sins into His Spirit and Was Separated From The Father in His Death. Then in His Resurrection He Became The First Born From The Dead. He Entered Paradise And Gave To The Saints of Old The Recreating of The Human Spirit. Them He Returned To Earth and Gave to Those Who Believed in Him the New Birth. Now We are kings and priests to His God and Father, Who is also now Our God and Father.
(Rev 1:5 NKJV)
and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, (6) and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
In the old testement their faith was to believe they would receive the promise of God
(Rom 4:19 22 NKJV)
(19) And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. (20) He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, (21) and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. (22) And therefore "it was accounted to him for righteousness."
In the new testament after we are born again, we have already received the promises. Now we are to use our faith to be apart of the body of Christ and allow Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit to work through us to do his work on this earth. We have been given, through Christ Jesus access to the power of God as though we were Christ.
(Mark 11:22 24 NKJV)
(22) So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God. (23) "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart,
but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. (24) "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
(Mat 16:18 19 NKJV)
(18)"And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. (19) "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
(Mark 16:15 18 NKJV)
(15)And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. (16) "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. (17) "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; (18) "they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
In the old testament they were commanded to give a tenth of their first fruits and then to offer offerings unto God as directed in the Word.
(Mal 3:8 NKJV)
"Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, 'In what way have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings.
In the new testament Jesus has set a new standard for giving. Jesus mentioned not one Word about giving a tenth. The moment that Jesus entered the earth, the plan of salvation when to the final count down in the eye of God. We were no longer of this world, but are to be as pilgrims from another world.
(1 Pet 2:11 NKJV)
Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,
We are all called to be soldiers in the body of Christ. We are to fight the good fight of faith. We are here for the purpose of salvation. We are here to save souls and to make disciples and soldiers of those that are saved.
(Phil 2:25 NKJV)
Yet I considered it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier, but your messenger and the one who ministered to my need;
(Phile 1:2 3 NKJV)
to the beloved Apphia, Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house: (3) Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are here as a soldier for the cause of Christ.
(2 Tim 2:3 NKJV)
You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
We are not here to build our own individual earthly kingdoms. We are to work in what ever calling that we have for the sole cause of supplying the needs of the body of Christ, the army of God to do battle with satan. Please read this simple scripture and reach down into your deepest spiritual understanding and find the simple, yet powerful statement of purpose that we as Christians should live by.
(2 Tim 2:4 NKJV)
No one engaged in warfareentangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.
We have not come out from among them to separate from them. We compete with those of the world for the things in this world. WE WATCH THE SAME WORLDLY STUFF ON TV. WE GO TO THE SAME MOVIES WHICH ARE FILLED WITH SIN AND DEATH. Can you imagine having Jesus over for the evening and renting 007 or Titanic or whatever for him to set in front of our TV and watch with us. We are greatly entangled with the affairs of this life. This country is as evil or even more evil as Sodom and Gomorrah. We have become so callous to the sin that surrounds us that we no longer even see it as sin.
It is time to repent and search the scriptures for the truth as how we are to live on this earth. This new life is the new life in Christ Jesus. We start by taking our focus off the this world and having the single focus of acquiring the kingdom of heaven. In this scripture Jesus says to give all for the purchase of the kingdom of heaven. There is not one word about storing treasure on earth. The Word say to sell all to acquire the kingdom of heaven.
(Mat 13:44 46 NKJV)
(44) "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. (45) "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, (46) "who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.
The people of the world are of satan and they are here to satisfy the needs of the flesh. Everything that they do will be for the, The Lust Of The Eyes, Lust Of The Flesh, Pride Of Life And The Power Of Greed.
We are not here to serve our flesh or to build our own individual earthly kingdoms. We are to work in what ever calling that we have for the sole cause of supplying the needs of the body of Christ, the army of God to do battle with satan and rescue the perishing.
Jesus did give us a real live example of a person accepting Him as Savior and entering in to the flow of giving that is according to Jesus teaching. There is nothing here that represents a tenth.
(Luke 19:8 9 NKJV)
8) Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold." (9) And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham;
Zacchaeus was a wealthy man. He had much to give. He started with a 100% and gave half to the poor. He then paid back four times as much to each person he had stolen from. In his position that probably came out to be a large sum. But lets say it only equals half of his 50% left. So now Zacchaeus has entered the flow of giving and receiving with a remaining 25% to care for his family. Jesus with his statement, "Today salvation has come to this house", was pleased with the actions taken by Zacchaeus. Where is the tenth in this example, it is consumed in the flow. The new standard that Jesus has set for the church is all. Give up all for the cause of Christ, for the work of the Body, His Body.
