The Relationship

Bottom Line

The relationship that we develop with the Lord God

is the one and only relationship that is important

through all eternity.

Until the relationship with God is strong,

all other relationships are only a

small flicker of light ( A Millisecond )

If That Much,

on the

timeline of eternity.

The Lord God Makes That Very Clear

With The Following Scriptures

What He Expects Our Relationship

With Him To Be.

He Also Makes It Very Clear

About How We Will Live Our

Lives On This Earth

If We Have A True Relationship

With Him.

All He Expects Is Very Clearly

Shown In These Few Scriptures

On This Single Page.

Luke 14:25-34 New Living Translation (NLT)

The Cost of Being a Disciple

25 A large crowd was following Jesus.

He turned around and said to them,

26 “If you want to be my disciple,

you must, by comparison,

hate everyone else—

your father and mother,

wife and children,

brothers and sisters—

yes, even your own life.

Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple.

27 And if you do not carry your

own cross and

 follow me,

you cannot be my disciple.

28 “But don’t begin until you count the cost.

For who would begin construction

of a building without first calculating

the cost to see if there is

enough money to finish it?

29 Otherwise, you might complete only

the foundation before running out of money,

and then everyone would laugh at you.

30 They would say,

‘There’s the person who started

that building and couldn’t afford to finish it!’

31 “Or what king would go to war

against another king without first

sitting down with his counselors

to discuss whether his army of 10,000

could defeat the 20,000 soldiers

marching against him?

32 And if he can’t, he will send a delegation

 to discuss terms of peace

while the enemy is still far away.

33 So you cannot become my disciple

without giving up everything you own.

34 “Salt is good for seasoning.

But if it loses its flavor,

how do you make it salty again?

Choose Wisely

How You Spend Your Time

While On This Earth

There is a very good possibility

that a true relationship with God

is a little more involved than your

Wildest Dreams could even imagine

it should be.

Please Take Time To Consider The

Teaching In These Scriptures

Matthew 7:13-28 New Living Translation (NLT)

The Narrow Gate

13 “You can enter God’s Kingdom

only through the narrow gate.

The highway to hell[a] is broad,

and its gate is wide for

the many who choose that way.

14 But the gateway to life is

very narrow and the road is difficult,

and only a few ever find it.

The Tree and Its Fruit

15 “Beware of false prophets

who come disguised as harmless sheep

 but are really vicious wolves.

16 You can identify them by their fruit,

that is, by the way they act.

Can you pick grapes from thornbushes,

or figs from thistles?

17 A good tree produces good fruit,

and a bad tree produces bad fruit.

18 A good tree can’t produce bad fruit,

and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit.

19 So every tree that does not produce good fruit

is chopped down and thrown into the fire.

20 Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit,

so you can identify people by their actions.

True Disciples

21 “Not everyone who calls out to me,

‘Lord! Lord!’

will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Only those who actually

do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.

22 On judgment day many will say to me,

‘Lord! Lord!

We prophesied in your name and

cast out demons in your name and

performed many miracles in your name.’

23 But I will reply,

‘I never knew you.

Get away from me,

you who break God’s laws.’

Building on a Solid Foundation

24 “Anyone who listens to my

teaching and follows it is wise,

like a person who builds

a house on solid rock.

25 Though the rain comes in torrents and

the floodwaters rise and

the winds beat against that house,

it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.

26 But anyone who hears my

teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish,

like a person who builds a house on sand.

27 When the rains and floods come and

the winds beat against that house,

it will collapse with a mighty crash.”

28 When Jesus had finished

saying these things,

the crowds were amazed at his teaching,

James 4 New Living Translation (NLT)

Drawing Close to God

What is causing the quarrels and

fights among you?

Don’t they come from the

evil desires at war within you?

You want what you don’t have,

so you scheme and kill to get it.

You are jealous of what others have,

but you can’t get it,

so you fight and

wage war to take it away from them.

Yet you don’t have what you want

because you don’t ask God for it.

And even when you ask,

you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—

you want only what will give you pleasure.

You adulterers![a]

Don’t you realize that friendship with the world

makes you an enemy of God?

I say it again:

If you want to be a friend of the world,

you make yourself an enemy of God.

Do you think the Scriptures have no meaning?

They say that God is passionate

that the spirit he has placed within us

should be faithful to him.[b]

And he gives grace generously.

 As the Scriptures say,

“God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble.”[c]

So humble yourselves before God.

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Come close to God,

and God will come close to you.

Wash your hands, you sinners;

purify your hearts,

for your loyalty is divided

between God and the world.

Let there be tears

for what you have done.

Let there be sorrow and deep grief.

Let there be sadness instead of laughter,

and gloom instead of joy.

10 Humble yourselves before the Lord,

and he will lift you up in honor.

Warning against Judging Others

11 Don’t speak evil against each other,

dear brothers and sisters.[d]

If you criticize and judge each other,

then you are criticizing and judging God’s law.

But your job is to obey the law,

not to judge whether it applies to you.

12 God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge.

He alone has the power to save or to destroy.

So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?

Warning about Self-Confidence

13 Look here, you who say,

 “Today or tomorrow we are

going to a certain town and will stay there a year.

We will do business there and make a profit.”

14 How do you know what

your life will be like tomorrow?

Your life is like the morning fog—

it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.

15 What you ought to say is,

“If the Lord wants us to,

we will live and do this or that.”

16 Otherwise you are boasting about

 your own pretentious plans,

and all such boasting is evil.

17 Remember,

it is sin to know what you ought to do

and then not do it.

Being Blessed Is not What You

Have Been Taught Being Blessed Is.

1 John 2:15-17 New Living Translation (NLT)

Do Not Love This World

15 Do not love this world

nor the things it offers you,

for when you love the world,

you do not have the love of the Father in you.

16 For the world offers

only

a craving for physical pleasure,

a craving for everything we see, and

pride in our achievements and possessions.

These are not from the Father,

but are from this world.

17 And this world is fading away,

along with everything that people crave.

But anyone who does what pleases God

will live forever.

Being Blessed Is

Finding

The Relationship

What Makes A Good Relationship

So what is a good description of a relationship

with anyone.

If you have ever had a good relationship

with anyone one earth,

there are several key components

that were present.

Heart to heart communication

As two people spend quality time

verbally  communicating.

God tells is how to have a relationship

with Him

Romans 10:17 New King James Version (NKJV)

17 So then faith comes by hearing,

and hearing by the word of God.

Hebrews 11 1 &6 New King James Version (NKJV)

By Faith We Understand

11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,

the evidence of things not seen.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him,

for he who comes to God must believe that He is,

and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

I do not care who you are trying to develop

a relationship with, it will never be

the best that it can be without

talking to them and listening to what

they have to say.

Listening must lead to responding;

by confirming that you hear what is being said;

by asking questions that will lead to a deeper

understand of what is meant;

by asking questions that will lead to a deeper

understanding of the feelings behind the statement.

Women seem to have a natural ability to carry on

a conversation in this manner.

Most men have to learn this art of communication.

If you want to have a relationship with God or anyone else

you have to learn these basic communication skills

We as humans are a five part being.

Spirit

Soul

Mind

Strength

Body

All parts of our being require interaction

 to have a

complete earthly relation.

If any part is our being is left out of

the relationship, the relationship is less

than complete.

Therefore,

Because of the existence of each part,

each part of ourself

requires interaction for a relationship

to be complete.

As for our relationship with God

the same applies.

We have to look to His Word

to understand what the

required interaction of all parts

of our being are to have a

complete relationship with Him.

If you do not have time to put

all of yourself into any relationship,

that relationship will not be complete.

An incomplete relationships will suffer loss.

A prime example to this is

the divorce rate

and the self destruction of self with

many children, teens and young adults

in the USA and world wide.

As for your relationship with God,

your answers are in the Word Of God.

Without a complete relationship with God

You will suffer loss.

To what extent that is totally up to God.

I would take time to consider all that He

says in The New Covenant if you want a relationship

with Him to be the best it can be.

Here are just a few starter verses to consider.

Mark 12:29-31 New Living Translation (NLT)

29 Jesus replied,

“The most important commandment is this:

‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God

is the one and only Lord.

30 And you must love the Lord your God with

all your heart,

all your soul,

all your mind, and

all your strength.’[a]

31 The second is equally important:

‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]

No other commandment is greater than these.”

This verse list four of the five

parts of our being.

The important word in this verse is

ALL.

ALL is a powerful word when used in

the context of

time

money

giving

receiving

applying

caring

loving

obeying.

If you decide to do some intense

studying of what God means

by ALL,

let the Word Of God and

the Holy Spirit of God

Be  your teacher.

Not A Man!

1 John 2:24-27 New Living Translation (NLT)

24 So you must remain faithful

to what you have been taught

from the beginning.

If you do, you will remain in fellowship

with the Son and with the Father.

25 And in this fellowship we enjoy

the eternal life he promised us.

26 I am writing these things to warn you

about those who want to lead you astray.

27 But you have received the Holy Spirit,[a]

and he lives within you,

so you don’t need anyone

to teach you what is true.

For the Spirit[b] teaches you everything

 you need to know,

and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie.

So just as he has taught you,

 remain in fellowship with Christ.

What the problem is for most that claim

to be a Christians,

most have been taught by men

instead of the Holy Spirit of God.

Get rid of this world and

the things it offers you

for a while,

Spend All Your Free Time With God.
