Who Is Your Teacher?

1 John 2:26-28 New Living Translation (NLT)

26 I am writing these things to warn you

about those who want to lead you astray.

27 But you have received the Holy Spirit,

[a] and he lives within you,

so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true.

For the Spirit[b] teaches you everything you need to know,

and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie.

So just as he has taught you,

 remain in fellowship with Christ.

How To Remain In

John 1 New Living Translation (NLT)

Prologue: Christ, the Eternal Word

1 In the beginning the Word already existed.
    The Word was with God,
    and the Word was God.
He existed in the beginning with God.
3
 God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through him.
The Word gave life to everything that was created,[a]
and his life brought light to everyone.
The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it.[b]

God sent a man, John the Baptist,[c]

to tell about the light so that everyone

might believe because of his testimony.

John himself was not the light;

he was simply a witness to tell about the light.

The one who is the true light,

who gives light to everyone,

was coming into the world.

10 He came into the very world he created,

but the world didn’t recognize him.

11 He came to his own people,

and even they rejected him.

12 But to all who believed him and accepted him,

he gave the right to become children of God.

13 They are reborn—not with a physical birth

resulting from human passion or plan,

but a birth that comes from God.

14 So the Word became human[d]

and made his home among us.

He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.[e]

And we have seen his glory,

the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

These Are God's Expectations

Concerning Being Filled With The Word.

Deuteronomy 4:29 New Living Translation (NLT)

29 But from there you will search again for the Lord your God.

And if you search for him with

all your heart and soul, you will find him.

Deuteronomy 6:5 New Living Translation (NLT)

And you must love the Lord your God with

all your heart,

all your soul, and

 all your strength.

Jeremiah 29:12-13  English Standard Version (ESV)

12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me,

and I will hear you.

13 You will seek me and find me,

when you seek me with all your heart.

Joshua 1:7-9 New Living Translation (NLT)

Be strong and very courageous.

Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you.

Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left.

Then you will be successful in everything you do.

Study this Book of Instruction continually.

Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure

to obey everything written in it.

Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

This is my command—be strong and courageous!

Do not be afraid or discouraged.

For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

1 Chronicles 16:11 New Living Translation
11 Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him.

The End Results Of Being Filled

With the Word Of God.

Galatians 2:19-21 New King James Version (NKJV)

19 For I through the law died to the law

that I might live to God.

 20 I have been crucified with Christ;

it is no longer I who live,

but Christ lives in me;

and the life which I now live in the flesh

I live by faith in the Son of God,

who loved me and gave Himself for me.

21 I do not set aside the grace of God;

for if righteousness comes through the law,

then Christ died in vain.”

Five Times We Are Told

If keep Your Life  you're gonna lose it,

if  You will lose your life for Me and

 to build My Kingdom

you will keep it

Matthew 10:39 New Living Translation (NLT)

39 If you cling to your life, you will lose it;

but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.

Matthew 16:25 New Living Translation (NLT)

25 If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it.

But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.

Mark 8:35 New Living Translation (NLT)

35 If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it.

But if you give up your life for my sake

and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it.

Luke 9:24 New Living Translation (NLT)

24 If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it.

But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.

John 12:25 New Living Translation (NLT)

25 Those who love their life in this world will lose it.

Those who care nothing for their life in this world will keep it for eternity.

In the following scriptures

Five times we are told  to take up the cross.

Associated With Taking Up The Cross

Once we are told  to give everything we have to the  poor.

Three times we are told to deny ourselves.

(Mat 10:38 NKJV)

"And he who does not take his cross

and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

 (Mat 16:24 NKJV)

Then Jesus said to His disciples,

"If anyone desires to come after Me,

let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

(Mark 8:34 NKJV)

When He had called the people to Himself,

with His disciples also, He said to them,

"Whoever desires to come after Me,

let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

(Mark 10:21 NKJV)

Then Jesus, looking at him,

loved him, and said to him,

"One thing you lack: Go your way,

sell whatever you have and give to the poor,

and you will have treasure in heaven;

and come, take up the cross, and follow Me."

(Luke 9:23 NKJV)

Then He said to them all,

"If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself,

and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

What Does It Mean By

Take Up The Cross.

The body I call the terminator.

The body is focused on the world

and the things of the world.

If the body is not put on the cross

daily it will terminate you.

Luke 12:13-21 New Living Translation (NLT)

Parable of the Rich Fool

13 Then someone called from the crowd,

“Teacher, please tell my brother to divide our father’s estate with me.”

14 Jesus replied, “Friend, who made me a judge over you

to decide such things as that?”

 15 Then he said,

“Beware! Guard against every kind of greed.

Life is not measured by how much you own.”

16 Then he told them a story:

“A rich man had a fertile farm that produced fine crops.

17 He said to himself, ‘What should I do? I don’t have room for all my crops.’

18 Then he said, ‘I know! I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones.

Then I’ll have room enough to store all my wheat and other goods.

19 And I’ll sit back and say to myself,

“My friend, you have enough stored away for years to come.

Now take it easy! Eat, drink, and be merry!”’

20 “But God said to him,

‘You fool! You will die this very night.

Then who will get everything you worked for?’

21 “Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth

but not have a rich relationship with God.”

Teaching about Money and Possessions

22 Then, turning to his disciples, Jesus said,

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—

whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear.

23 For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing.

24 Look at the ravens.

They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns,

 for God feeds them.

And you are far more valuable to him than any birds!

25 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

26 And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that,

what’s the use of worrying over bigger things?

27 “Look at the lilies and how they grow.

They don’t work or make their clothing,

yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed

as beautifully as they are.

28 And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today

and thrown into the fire tomorrow,

he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

29 “And don’t be concerned about what to eat and what to drink.

Don’t worry about such things.

30 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers

 all over the world,

but your Father already knows your needs.

31 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else,

and he will give you everything you need.

32 “So don’t be afraid,

little flock.

For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.

33 “Sell your possessions and give to those in need.

This will store up treasure for you in heaven!

And the purses of heaven never get old or develop holes.

Your treasure will be safe; no thief can steal it and no moth can destroy it.

 34 Wherever your treasure is,

there the desires of your heart will also be.

Through The Cross We Are Given The Power

To Walk In The Spirit And Not In The Flesh

1 John 2:15-17 New Living Translation (NLT)

Do Not Love This World

15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you,

for when you love the world,

you do not have the love of the Father in you.

16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure,

a craving for everything we see,

and pride in our achievements and possessions.

These are not from the Father,

but are from this world.

17 And this world is fading away,

along with everything that people crave.

But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

James 4:4-5

You adulterers![a] Don’t you realize

that friendship with the world

makes you an enemy of God?

I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world,

you make yourself an enemy of God.

What do you think the Scriptures mean when they say

that the spirit God has placed within us is filled with envy?[b]

Luke 16:15

15 He said to them,

“You are the ones who justify yourselves

in the eyes of others,

but God knows your hearts.

What people value highly is

detestable in God’s sight.

Focus And Choices

When we take up the cross

We Are Able To Walk In The Spirit

Galatians 5:16-26 New Living Translation (NLT)

Living by the Spirit’s Power

16 So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives.

Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.

17 The sinful nature wants to do evil,

which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants.

And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite

of what the sinful nature desires.

These two forces are constantly fighting each other,

so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.

18 But when you are directed by the Spirit,

you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.

Choices

Matt 6:19-24

19 “Don’t store up treasures here on earth,

where moths eat them and rust destroys them,

and where thieves break in and steal.

20 Store your treasures in heaven,

where moths and rust cannot destroy,

and thieves do not break in and steal.

21 Wherever your treasure is,

there the desires of your heart will also be.

Focus

22 “Your eye is a lamp that provides light for your body.

When your eye is good, your whole body is filled with light.

23 But when your eye is bad,

your whole body is filled with darkness.

And if the light you think you have is actually darkness,

 how deep that darkness is!

24 “No one can serve two masters.

For you will hate one and love the other;

you will be devoted to one and despise the other.

You cannot serve both God and money.

Focus And Choices

Matthew 6:33 New Living Translation (NLT)

33 Seek the Kingdom of God[a] above all else,

and live righteously,

and he will give you everything you need.

(Matthew 6:32-33 NLT Early Version)

Why be like the pagans who are so deeply concerned

about these things?

Your heavenly Father already knows all your needs,

and he will give you all you need from day to day

if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God

your primary concern.

"the Kingdom of God your primary concern"

A Choice You Must Make To Enter God's Family!

John 14:6-10 The Message (MSG)

6-7 Jesus said, “I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life.

No one gets to the Father apart from me.

If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well.

From now on, you do know him. You’ve even seen him!”

Philip said, “Master, show us the Father; then we’ll be content.”

9-10 “You’ve been with me all this time, Philip,

and you still don’t understand?

To see me is to see the Father.

So how can you ask,

‘Where is the Father?’

Don’t you believe that I am in the Father

and the Father is in me?

The words that I speak to you aren’t mere words.

I don’t just make them up on my own.

The Father who resides in me

crafts each word into a divine act.

Choices

John 14:11-14The Message (MSG)

11-14 “Believe me: I am in my Father and my Father is in me.

 If you can’t believe that,
believe what you see—these works.

The person who trusts me will not only do what

I’m doing but even greater things,

because I, on my way to the Father,

am giving you the same work to do that I’ve been doing.

You can count on it. From now on,

whatever you request along the lines

of who I am and what I am doing,

I’ll do it. That’s how the Father will be seen

for who he is in the Son. I mean it.

Whatever you request in this way, I’ll do.

The Lukewarm Church

14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans[a] write,

‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness,

the Beginning of the creation of God:

15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot.

I could wish you were cold or hot.

16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,

[b] I will vomit you out of My mouth.

17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy,

and do not know that you are

wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked—

18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire,

Therefore be zealous and repent.

20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock.

If anyone hears My voice and opens the door,

as I also overcame and sat down with

My Father on His throne.

22 “He who has an ear,

let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’”

He Who  Does Not Overcome  VS   He Who Overcomes

Your Choices Determine If You Overcomes.

Choices,  Are You Making All The Right Choices

“Everyone then who hears

these words of mine and does them

will be like a wise man who built his house

on the rock.

1.   Sowing to the flesh   VS   Sowing to the Spirit

For the one who sows to his own flesh

will from the flesh reap corruption,

but the one who sows to the Spirit

will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

2.   Not being chosen   VS   Being chosen

"In the same way, the last will be first,

and the first will be last,

because many are called,

but few are chosen."

3.   Being vomited   VS  Not being vomited

So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold,

I am going to vomit you out of my mouth!

4.   He who does not have an ear  VS  He who has an ear

He who has an ear,

let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”

5.   Depart from Me, you cursed  VS  Come, you blessed of My Father

"Then the King will say to those on his right,

'Come, you who are blessed by my Father,

inherit the Kingdom prepared for you

from the creation of the world.

Then He will also say to those on the left hand,

‘Depart from Me, you cursed,

into the everlasting fire prepared for

the devil and his angels

6.   You will not fast as you do  VS  the fast that I have chosen

"No, this is the kind of fasting I want:

Free those who are wrongly imprisoned;

lighten the burden of those who work for you.

Let the oppressed go free,

and remove the chains that bind people.

7.   chopped down and thrown into the fire  VS  produce good fruit

Even now the ax of God's judgment is poised,

ready to sever the roots of the trees.

Yes, every tree that does not produce good fruit

will be chopped down and thrown into the fire.

8.   I never knew you   VS   Being known by The Father

"Many will say to Me on that day,

'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name,

and in Your name cast out demons,

and in Your name perform many miracles?'
Then I will tell them plainly,

 'I never knew you.

 Away from me, you evildoers!'

9.   Enter the wide Gate   VS   Entering the narrow gate

"You can enter God's Kingdom

only through the narrow gate.

The highway to hell is broad,

and its gate is wide for the many

who choose that way.

10. Entering without wedding clothes  VS  Entering with wedding clothes

"But when the king came in to see the guests,

he noticed a man there who was

not wearing wedding clothes.
He asked, 'How did you get in here

without wedding clothes, friend?'

The man was speechless.

Then the king said to his aides,

‘Bind his hands and feet and

throw him into the outer darkness,

where there will be

weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

11. Eternity In Hell   VS   Eternity In Heaven

"Do not let your hearts be troubled.

Trust in God; trust also in me.

In my Father's house are many rooms;

if it were not so,

 I would have told you.

I am going there to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you,

I will come back and take you to be with me

that you also may be where I am.

Then the devil, who had deceived them,

was thrown into the fiery lake of burning sulfur,

joining the beast and the false prophet.

There they will be tormented

day and night forever and ever.

12 For we[a] are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies,

but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world,

against mighty powers in this dark world,

and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Mark 12:29-31New Living Translation (NLT)

29 Jesus replied,

“The most important commandment is this:

 ‘Listen, O Israel!

The Lord our God is the one and only Lord.

30 And you must love the Lord your God with

all your heart,

all your soul,

all your mind, and

all your strength.’[a]

31 The second is equally important:

‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]

No other commandment is greater than these.”

Ephesians 6 New Living Translation (NLT)

13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor

so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil.

Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.

14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth

and the body armor of God’s righteousness.

15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News

so that you will be fully prepared.[b]

16 In addition to all of these,

hold up the shield of faith to stop

the fiery arrows of the devil.[c]

17 Put on salvation as your helmet,

and take the sword of the Spirit,

which is the word of God.

Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers

for all believers everywhere.

Philippians 3:19-21 New Living Translation (NLT)

19 They are headed for destruction.

Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things,

and they think only about this life here on earth.

20 But we are citizens of heaven,

where the Lord Jesus Christ lives.

And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.

Colossians 3 1-3 New Living Translation (NLT)

Living the New Life

5(Focus and  Choices)

Since you have been raised

to new life with Christ,

 set your sights on

the realities of heaven,

where Christ sits in the

place of honor at God’s right hand.

Think about the things of heaven,

7(AWOL)

not the things of earth.

For you died to this life,

and your real life is hidden

 with Christ in God.

6(Focus and  Choices)

James 4:7-17 New Living Translation (NLT)

So humble yourselves before God.

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Come close to God, and God will come close to you.

8(AWOL)

Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts,

for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.

Let there be tears for what you have done.

Let there be sorrow and deep grief.

Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy.

10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.

Warning against Judging Others

5(I Got Your Back)

11 Don’t speak evil against each other,

dear brothers and sisters.

[d] If you criticize and judge each other,

then you are criticizing and judging God’s law.

But your job is to obey the law, not to judge whether it applies to you.

12 God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge.

He alone has the power to save or to destroy.

So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?

Warning about Self-Confidence

9(AWOL)

13 Look here, you who say,

“Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town

and will stay there a year.

We will do business there and make a profit.”

14 How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow?

Your life is like the morning fog—

it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.

15 What you ought to say is,

“If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.”

10(AWOL)

16 Otherwise you are boasting about your own pretentious plans,

and all such boasting is evil.

6(I Got Your Back)

17 Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.

7(Focus and  Choices)

Galatians 6 New Living Translation (NLT)

We Harvest What We Plant

Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature

will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature.

But those who live to please the Spirit

will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.

7(I Got Your Back)

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good.

At just the right time we will reap a harvest

of blessing if we don’t give up.

10 Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity,

we should do good to everyone—

especially to those in the family of faith.

8(Focus and  Choices)

14 As for me, may I never boast about anything

except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Because of that cross,[c] my interest in

this world has been crucified,

and the world’s interest in me has also died.

15 It doesn’t matter whether we have

been circumcised or not.

What counts is whether we have been

transformed into a new creation.

16 May God’s peace and mercy be upon

all who live by this principle;

they are the new people of God.[d]

8(I Got Your Back)

Hebrews 3New Living Translation (NLT)

12 Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters.

[f] Make sure that your own hearts are not evil

and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God.

13 You must warn each other every day,

while it is still “today,”

so that none of you will be deceived by sin

and hardened against God.

9(Focus and  Choices)

14 For if we are faithful to the end,

trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed,

we will share in all that belongs to Christ.

1(Keeping Self Pure And Holy Before God)

Hebrews 4 New Living Translation (NLT)

12 For the word of God is alive and powerful.

It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword,

cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow.

It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.

13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God.

Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes,

and he is the one to whom we are accountable.

10(Focus and  Choices)

14 So then, since we have a great High Priest

 who has entered heaven,

Jesus the Son of God,

let us hold firmly to what we believe.

15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses,

for he faced all of the same testings we do,

yet he did not sin.

16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God.

There we will receive his mercy,

and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

2(Keeping Self Pure And Holy Before God)

1 Thessalonians 5:23 New Living Translation (NLT)

23 Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way,

and may your whole spirit and soul and body

be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.

Hebrews 12:6-11   New Living Translation (NLT)

6 For the Lord disciplines those he loves,
and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.”[
a]

7 As you endure this divine discipline, remember

that God is treating you as his own children.

Who ever heard of a child who is

never disciplined by its father?

8 If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children,

it means that you are illegitimate and

are not really his children at all.

9 Since we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us,

shouldn’t we submit even more to the discipline of the

Father of our spirits, and live forever?[b]

10 For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years,

doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline

is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness.

11 No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful!

But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of

right living for those who are trained in this way.

James 1-27 New Living Translation (NLT)

Greetings from James

This letter is from James, a slave of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I am writing to the “twelve tribes”—

Jewish believers scattered abroad.

Greetings!

Faith and Endurance

Dear brothers and sisters,[a] when troubles of any kind come your way,

consider it an opportunity for great joy.

For you know that when your faith is tested,

your endurance has a chance to grow.

So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed,

you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God,

and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone.

Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty

is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.

Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.

Their loyalty is divided between God and the world,

and they are unstable in everything they do.

Believers who are[b] poor have something to boast about,

for God has honored them.

10 And those who are rich should boast that God has humbled them.

They will fade away like a little flower in the field.

11 The hot sun rises and the grass withers; the little flower droops and falls,

and its beauty fades away. In the same way,

the rich will fade away with all of their achievements.

12 God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation.

Afterward they will receive the crown of life that

God has promised to those who love him.

13 And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say,

“God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong,[c]

and he never tempts anyone else.

14 Temptation comes from our own desires,

which entice us and drag us away.

15 These desires give birth to sinful actions.

And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.

16 So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters.

17 Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down

to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens.[d]

He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.[e]

18 He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word.

And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.[f]

Listening and Doing

19 Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters:

You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.

20 Human anger[g] does not produce the righteousness[h] God desires.

21 So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives,

and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts,

for it has the power to save your souls.

22 But don’t just listen to God’s word.

You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.

23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey,

it is like glancing at your face in a mirror.

24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like.

25 But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free,

and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard,

then God will bless you for doing it.

26 If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue,

you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless.

27 Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father

means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and

refusing to let the world corrupt you.

Luke 3:9-14 New Living Translation (NLT)

Even now the ax of God’s judgment is poised,

ready to sever the roots of the trees.

Yes, every tree that does not produce good fruit

will be chopped down and thrown into the fire.”

10 The crowds asked, “What should we do?”

11 John replied,

“If you have two shirts, give one to the poor.

If you have food, share it with those who are hungry.”

12 Even corrupt tax collectors came to be baptized and asked,

 “Teacher, what should we do?”

13 He replied, “Collect no more taxes than the government requires.”

14 “What should we do?” asked some soldiers.

John replied, “Don’t extort money or make false accusations.

And be content with your pay.”

Matthew 6:19-20

[ Teaching about Money and Possessions ]

19 “Don’t store up treasures here on earth,

where moths eat them and rust destroys them,

and where thieves break in and steal

20 Store your treasures in heaven,

where moths and rust cannot destroy,

and thieves do not break in and steal.

Matthew 19:21 New Living Translation (NLT)

21 Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect,

go and sell all your possessions and

give the money to the poor,

and you will have treasure in heaven.

 Then come, follow me.”

Mark 10:21 New Living Translation (NLT)

21 Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him.

“There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him.

“Go and sell all your possessions and

give the money to the poor,

and you will have treasure in heaven.

 Then come, follow me.”

Luke 12:33 New Living Translation (NLT)

33 “Sell your possessions and give to those in need.

This will store up treasure for you in heaven!

And the purses of heaven never get old or develop holes.

Your treasure will be safe;

no thief can steal it and no moth can destroy it.

Luke 18:22 New Living Translation (NLT)

22 When Jesus heard his answer, he said,

“There is still one thing you haven’t done.

Sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor,

and you will have treasure in heaven.

How Important Is The Kingdom Of Heaven?

[ Parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl ]
“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure
that a man discovered hidden in a field.
In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything
he owned to get enough money to buy the field.

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls.

When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!

James 2:12-26 New Living Translation (NLT)

12 So whatever you say or whatever you do,

remember that you will be judged by the law that sets you free.

13 There will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others.

But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when he judges you.

Faith without Good Deeds Is Dead

14 What good is it, dear brothers and sisters,

if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions?

Can that kind of faith save anyone?

15 Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing,

16 and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day;

stay warm and eat well”—

but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing.

What good does that do?

17 So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough.

Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.

18 Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith;

others have good deeds.” But I say,

“How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds?

I will show you my faith by my good deeds.”

19 You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God.[a]

Good for you! Even the demons believe this,

and they tremble in terror.

20 How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless?

21 Don’t you remember that our ancestor Abraham

was shown to be right with God by his actions

when he offered his son Isaac on the altar?

22 You see, his faith and his actions worked together.

His actions made his faith complete.

23 And so it happened just as the Scriptures say:

“Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous

because of his faith.”[b]

He was even called the friend of God.[c]

24 So you see, we are shown to be right with God

by what we do, not by faith alone.

25 Rahab the prostitute is another example.

She was shown to be right with God by her actions

when she hid those messengers and

sent them safely away by a different road.

26 Just as the body is dead without breath,[d]

so also faith is dead without good works.

31 “But when the Son of Man[a] comes in his glory,

and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne.

32 All the nations[b] will be gathered in his presence,

and he will separate the people

as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

33 He will place the sheep at his right hand and the goats at his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right,

‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father,

inherit the Kingdom prepared for you

from the creation of the world.

35 For I was hungry, and you fed me.

I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink.

I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.

36 I was naked, and you gave me clothing.

I was sick, and you cared for me.

I was in prison, and you visited me.’

37 “Then these righteous ones will reply,

‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you?

Or thirsty and give you something to drink?

38 Or a stranger and show you hospitality?

Or naked and give you clothing?

39 When did we ever see you sick or

in prison and visit you?’

40 “And the King will say,

‘I tell you the truth,

when you did it to one of the least

of these my brothers and sisters,

[c] you were doing it to me!’

41 “Then the King will turn to those on the left and say,

‘Away with you, you cursed ones,

into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons.[d]

42 For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me.

I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink.

43 I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home.

I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing.

I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’

44 “Then they will reply,

‘Lord, when did we ever see you

hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison,

and not help you?’

45 “And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth,

when you refused to help the least of these

my brothers and sisters,

you were refusing to help me.’

46 “And they will go away into eternal punishment,

but the righteous will go into eternal life.”

The day of judgment is as simple as

the above scripture.

Every second of your time on this earth

will go on one side  or  the other

on the scale of Judgment.

This includes every,

  thought of the mind,

gaze of the eyes,

sound that enters the ear,

feelings that saturate your heart, the spirit man.

choices that come from the soul,

words that leave your mouth.

I Would Strongly Suggest

That You Take All The Above Scriptures And

Fill In The Answers In The

Following Chapter.

The Questions Are In Bold.

Ephesians 5 New Living Translation (NLT)

Living in the Light

Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do,

because you are his dear children.

Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ.

He loved us[a] and offered himself as a sacrifice for us,

 a pleasing aroma to God.

Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you.

Such sins have no place among God’s people.

Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—

these are not for you.

Instead, let there be thankfulness to God.

You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person

will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God.

For a greedy person is an idolater,

worshiping the things of this world.

Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins,

for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him.

Don’t participate in the things these people do.

For once you were full of darkness,

but now you have light from the Lord.

So live as people of light! For this light within you

produces only what is good and right and true.

10 Carefully determine what pleases the Lord.

11 Take no part in the worthless deeds

of evil and darkness;

instead, expose them.

12 It is shameful even to talk about the things

that ungodly people do in secret.

13 But their evil intentions will be exposed

when the light shines on them,

14 for the light makes everything visible.

This is why it is said,

“Awake, O sleeper,
    rise up from the dead,
and Christ will give you light.”

Living by the Spirit’s Power

15 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools,

but like those who are wise.

16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.

17 Don’t act thoughtlessly,

but understand what the Lord wants you to do.

18 Don’t be drunk with wine,

because that will ruin your life. Instead,

be filled with the Holy Spirit,

19 singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs

among yourselves,

and making music to the Lord in your hearts.

20 And give thanks for everything to God the Father

in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Spirit-Guided Relationships: Wives and Husbands

21 And further, submit to one another

out of reverence for Christ.

22 For wives,

this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord.

23 For a husband is the head of his wife

as Christ is the head of the church.

He is the Savior of his body, the church.

24 As the church submits to Christ,

so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything.

25 For husbands, this means love your wives,

just as Christ loved the church.

He gave up his life for her

26 to make her holy and clean,

washed by the cleansing of God’s word.[b]

27 He did this to present her to himself

as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle

or any other blemish. Instead,

she will be holy and without fault.

28 In the same way,

husbands ought to love their wives

as they love their own bodies.

For a man who loves his wife actually

shows love for himself.

29 No one hates his own body

but feeds and cares for it,

just as Christ cares for the church.

30 And we are members of his body.

31 As the Scriptures say,

“A man leaves his father and mother

and is joined to his wife,

and the two are united into one.”[c]

32 This is a great mystery,

but it is an illustration of the way Christ

and the church are one.

33 So again I say, each man must love his wife

 as he loves himself,

and the wife must respect her husband.

As Stated Above In Revelations 3:16

16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,

[b] I will vomit you out of My mouth.

If your scale is even balanced,

you will be placed on the left

Matthew 25:41

“Then the King will turn to those on the left and say,

‘Away with you, you cursed ones,

into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons.[d]

God's Plan For His Church

Acts 2:42-47 New Living Translation (NLT)

The Believers Form a Community

42 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching,

and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals

(including the Lord’s Supper[a]), and to prayer.

43 A deep sense of awe came over them all,

and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders.

44 And all the believers met together in one place

and shared everything they had.

45 They sold their property and possessions

and shared the money with those in need.

46 They worshiped together at the Temple each day,

met in homes for the Lord’s Supper,

and shared their meals with great joy and generosity[b]

47 all the while praising God and enjoying

the goodwill of all the people.

And each day the Lord added to their fellowship

those who were being saved.

Acts 4:32-35 New Living Translation (NLT)

The Believers Share Their Possessions

32 All the believers were united in heart and mind.

And they felt that what they owned was not their own,

so they shared everything they had.

33 The apostles testified powerfully to

the resurrection of the Lord Jesus,

and God’s great blessing was upon them all.

34 There were no needy people among them,

because those who owned land or houses would sell them

35 and bring the money to the apostles to give to those in need.

1 John 2  New Living Translation (NLT)

My dear children, I am writing this to you

so that you will not sin.

 But if anyone does sin,

we have an advocate who pleads

our case before the Father.

 He is Jesus Christ,

the one who is truly righteous.

 He himself is the sacrifice

 that atones for our sins—

and not only our sins

but the sins of all the world.

And we can be sure that we know him

if we obey his commandments.

If someone claims, “I know God,”

but doesn’t obey God’s commandments,

that person is a liar and is not living in the truth.

But those who obey God’s word

truly show how completely they love him.

That is how we know we are living in him.

Those who say they live in God

should live their lives

 as Jesus did.

A New Commandment

Dear friends,

I am not writing a new commandment for you;

rather it is an old one you have

had from the very beginning.

This old commandment—

to love one another

is the same message you heard before. 8

 Yet it is also new.

Jesus lived the truth of this commandment,

and you also are living it.

For the darkness is disappearing,

and the true light is already shining.

If anyone claims,

“I am living in the light,”

but hates a fellow believer,[a]

that person is still living in darkness.

 10 Anyone who loves a fellow believer[b]

is living in the light and

does not cause others to stumble.

11 But anyone who hates a fellow believer

is still living and walking in darkness.

Such a person does not know the way to go,

having been blinded by the darkness.

12 I am writing to you who are God’s children
because your sins have been forgiven through Jesus.[c]
13 I am writing to you who are mature in the faith[d]
    because you know Christ,

who existed from the beginning.
I am writing to you who are young in the faith
    because you have won your

battle with the evil one.
14 I have written to you who are God’s children
    because you know the Father.
I have written to you who are mature in the faith
    because you know Christ,

who existed from the beginning.
I have written to you who are young in the faith
    because you are strong.
God’s word lives in your hearts,
and you have won your battle with the evil one.

Do Not Love This World

15 Do not love this world

nor the things it offers you,

for when you love the world,

you do not have the love of the Father in you

16 For the world offers only

a craving for physical pleasure,

a craving for everything we see, and

pride in our achievements and possessions.

These are not from the Father,

 but are from this world.

17 And this world is fading away,

along with everything that people crave.

But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

Warning about Antichrists

18 Dear children,

 the last hour is here.

You have heard that the Antichrist is coming,

and already many such antichrists have appeared.

From this we know that the last hour has come.

19 These people left our churches,

 but they never really belonged with us;

otherwise they would have stayed with us.

When they left, it proved that they did not belong with us.

20 But you are not like that,

for the Holy One has given you his Spirit,[e]

and all of you know the truth.

21 So I am writing to you not because

you don’t know the truth

but because you know the difference

between truth and lies.

22 And who is a liar?

Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ.[f]

Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist.[g]

23 Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either.

But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

24 So you must remain faithful

to what you have been taught

 from the beginning.

If you do, you will remain in fellowship

with the Son and with the Father.

25 And in this fellowship we enjoy

the eternal life he promised us.

26 I am writing these things to warn you

about those who want to lead you astray.

 27 But you have received

the Holy Spirit,[h]

 and he lives within you,

so you don’t need

anyone to teach you what is true.

For the Spirit[i] teaches you

everything you need to know,

and what he teaches is true—

it is not a lie.

So just as he has taught you,

remain in fellowship with Christ.

Living as Children of God

28 And now, dear children,

 remain in fellowship with Christ

so that when he returns,

you will be full of courage and

not shrink back from him in shame.

29 Since we know that Christ is righteous,

we also know that all who do what

 is right are God’s children.

CLC14

One of the main things that I have tried

to express is that God never repeats Himself

by accident.

The follow are the repeating scripture that I have found.

Most are listed above in the different section.

I wanted to put them together in one section.

Love The Lord God With All.

Love Others Equal As You Do Yourself

Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’

And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’

And I know it is important to love him with all my heart and all my understanding and all my strength, and to love my neighbor as myself. This is more important than to offer all of the burnt offerings and sacrifices required in the law.”

The man answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Do Not Love This World Or Anything

That Man Has Made To Use Or Do In The World.

James 4:4-6 New Living Translation (NLT)

You adulterers![a] Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God. Do you think the Scriptures have no meaning? They say that God is passionate that the spirit he has placed within us should be faithful to him.[b] And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say,

“God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble.”[c]

1 John 2:15-17 New Living Translation (NLT)

Do Not Love This World

15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you,

for when you love the world,

you do not have the love of the Father in you.

16 For the world offers only

a craving for physical pleasure,

a craving for everything we see,

and pride in our achievements and possessions.

These are not from the Father,

 but are from this world.

17 And this world is fading away,

along with everything that people crave.

But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

Five Times We Are Told

If keep Your Life  you're gonna lose it,

if  You will lose your life for Me and

 to build My Kingdom

you will keep it

Matthew 10:39 New Living Translation (NLT)

39 If you cling to your life, you will lose it;

but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.

Five times we are told

to take up the cross.

Associated With Taking Up

The Cross,

Once we are told  to give everything

we have to the  poor.

Three times we are told

to deny ourselves.

(Mat 10:38 NKJV)

"And he who does not take his cross

and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

 (Mat 16:24 NKJV)

Then Jesus said to His disciples,

"If anyone desires to come after Me,

let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

(Mark 8:34 NKJV)

When He had called the people to Himself,

with His disciples also, He said to them,

"Whoever desires to come after Me,

let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

(Mark 10:21 NKJV)

Then Jesus, looking at him,

loved him, and said to him,

"One thing you lack: Go your way,

sell whatever you have and give to the poor,

and you will have treasure in heaven;

and come, take up the cross, and follow Me."

(Luke 9:23 NKJV)

Then He said to them all,

"If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself,

and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

Four  Times In The Following Scriptures

We Are Told

Sell  What We Have and

Give To Those That have Need.

Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Sell your possessions and give to those in need. This will store up treasure for you in heaven! And the purses of heaven never get old or develop holes. Your treasure will be safe; no thief can steal it and no moth can destroy it.

When Jesus heard his answer, he said, “There is still one thing you haven’t done. Sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

 Teaching about Money and Possessions

Matthew 6:19-20

19 “Don’t store up treasures here on earth,

where moths eat them and rust destroys them,

and where thieves break in and steal

20 Store your treasures in heaven,

where moths and rust cannot destroy,

and thieves do not break in and steal.

Matthew 19:21 New Living Translation (NLT)

21 Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect,

go and sell all your possessions and

give the money to the poor,

and you will have treasure in heaven.

 Then come, follow me.”

Mark 10:21 New Living Translation (NLT)

21 Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him.

“There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him.

“Go and sell all your possessions and

give the money to the poor,

and you will have treasure in heaven.

 Then come, follow me.”

Luke 12:33 New Living Translation (NLT)

33 “Sell your possessions and give to those in need.

This will store up treasure for you in heaven!

And the purses of heaven never get old or develop holes.

Your treasure will be safe;

no thief can steal it and no moth can destroy it.

Luke 18:22 New Living Translation (NLT)

22 When Jesus heard his answer, he said,

“There is still one thing you haven’t done.

Sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor,

and you will have treasure in heaven.

 Then come, follow me.”

We Are Warned About Our Focus

Matthew 6:21 New Living Translation (NLT)

21 Wherever your treasure is,

there the desires of your heart will also be.

Luke 12:34 New Living Translation (NLT)

34 Wherever your treasure is,

there the desires of your heart will also be.
