that when you accepted Jesus as savior

that you were joining the army of God

and that you were going to be expected

to show up for duty during your appointed duty times

When you enter the Body of Christ you are immediately

Faced with and attack of the enemy.

1 John 2:15-17

New Living Translation (NLT)

Do Not Love This World

15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you,

for when you love the world,

you do not have the love of the Father in you.

16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure,

a craving for everything we see,

and pride in our achievements and possessions.

These are not from the Father, but are from this world.

17 And this world is fading away,

along with everything that people crave.

But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4

New Living Translation (NLT)

If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil,

it is hidden only from people who are perishing.

Satan, who is the god of this world,

has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe.

They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News.

 They don’t understand this message

 about the glory of Christ,

who is the exact likeness of God.

Joshua 1:6-9

New Living Translation (NLT)

“Be strong and courageous,

for you are the one who will lead

these people to possess all the land

I swore to their ancestors I would give them.

Be strong and very courageous.

Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you.

Do not deviate from them,

turning either to the right or to the left.

Then you will be successful in everything you do.

Study this Book of Instruction continually.

Meditate on it day and night

so you will be sure to obey everything written in it.

Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

This is my command—be strong and courageous!

Do not be afraid or discouraged.

For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Matthew 13:18-23

New Living Translation (NLT)

18 “Now listen to the explanation of the parable about the farmer planting seeds:

evil one comes and snatches away the seed

19 The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who

hear the message about the Kingdom and don’t understand it.

Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed

that was planted in their hearts.

they don’t have deep roots,

20 The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message

and immediately receive it with joy.

21 But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long.

They fall away as soon as they have problems

or are persecuted for believing God’s word.

the message is crowded out

22 The seed that fell among the thorns

represents those who hear God’s word,

but all too quickly

the message is crowded out by

the worries of this life and

the lure of wealth,

so no fruit is produced.

truly hear and understand God’s word

23 The seed that fell on good soil represents those who

truly hear and understand God’s word

and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times

as much as had been planted!”

Matthew 25:31-46

New Living Translation (NLT)

The Final Judgment

31 “But when the Son of Man[a] comes in his glory,

and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne.

32 All the nations[b] will be gathered in his presence,

and he will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

33 He will place the sheep at his right hand and the goats at his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right,

‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father,

inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world.

35 For I was hungry, and you fed me.

I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink.

I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.

36 I was naked, and you gave me clothing.

I was sick, and you cared for me.

I was in prison, and you visited me.’

37 “Then these righteous ones will reply,

‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you?

Or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 Or a stranger and show you hospitality?

Or naked and give you clothing?

39 When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’

40 “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth,

when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,

[c] you were doing it to me!’

41 “Then the King will turn to those on the left and say,

‘Away with you, you cursed ones,

into the eternal fire

prepared for the devil and his demons.[d]

42 For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me.

I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink.

43 I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home.

I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing.

I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’

44 “Then they will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty

or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’

45 “And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth,

when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters,

you were refusing to help me.’

46 “And they will go away into eternal punishment,

but the righteous will go into eternal life.”
